Interesting job postings, especially on Queens as they just went D1. I wonder who’ll take over there and at EMU?
Both are pretty similar ability levels, but who would ever want to live and work in ypsilanti?
You can live in Ann Arbor, or Saline, Dexter, Chelsea, or Brighton - all communities with amazing schools that are great to raise a family. The hesitancy for the EMU job should be it's finances are dire as enrollment has plummeted. Many schools have that issue, but EMU may be in the worst shape of all the directional Michigan schools and the state could say UM, Wayne, and Oakland satisfy the needs of SE Michigan.
I agree with you on the accommodations, but there are a lot of D2 schools in Michigan and very good distance programs without a distance coach as director. This would probably be a step up and they’d get the opportunity to coach D1.
DeLAND, Fla. - Stetson University announced two-time national high school coach of the year honoree Kristin McWilliams as the newest head coach of the Hatters men's
I am sure that she is a great person and great coach. But I know of experienced NCAA coaches that were looked over. This looks like a budget hire, or a hire due to gender. Still disappointing to see that experienced college coaches are being looked over for high school coaches at the D1 level.
