How Pickerington region teams are ranked in pre-region polls 1. West. North 2. Lancaster 3. Dub Jerome 4. Dub Coffman 5. Olen Orange 6. Kilbourne Dub Scioto is ranked way below all of them. I see this as a disrespect
Based of last week’s results, I’d say this ranking is fair.
Dublin Coffman continues to baffle me. They’re still the only team to beat West. North and Mas. Jackson (I think?) all year. But if they run any worse than last week, they may not even be at the state meet.
I think the reason for last week's results is two-fold. One, Lancaster ran incredibly well. They were the best team of all the districts and must be considered the favorite on Saturday at this point.
Two, Jacob Bolton was way, way off. He's typically their top guy, and probably would've been 2nd to Temple if he had run his normal race. He was Coffman's 3rd that day, and it showed in the team scoring. If he's back and ready to run with the big dogs, Coffman can win it. If he runs back in the pack again, they may not make it out of the region.

Bolton didn’t run at OCC’s. I wonder if he’s running through an injury or if he just ran bad after a week off.

of the top five teams that get through to Obetz, how many of them will finish in the top ten?
We may see five SW Ohio teams in the top ten at Obetz--every other team in the top ten would be an SW Ohio representative. Nice.
Other than Mason & St X, what other SW Ohio teams do you see in the top 10? Maybe Springboro but I doubt it.
TBH, SW Ohio is weak this year.
Agreed.
I’m not sure the third best team in the Cincinnati/Dayton Region, or the second best team in the Cleveland Region, or even the Toledo Region champion would make it out of the Columbus Region this year.

Big time disrespect. They keep sleeping on these boys. But they know what they’re doing. Saving the best for last.
Care to let us in on the secret? Not all of us are Strava pals with these guys and track their daily runs. I'm not sure what you're contributing by being coy. Is he dealing with an injury?
Ah! Thanks for calling me out. That is a huge typo. I meant SE Ohio, but for whatever dumb reason, I typed SW.
Mason and St. X can even be top four this year, but beyond that, would any of the SW reps even crack the top ten?
But SE Ohio? Yeah, I could see all five representatives being in the top ten at Obetz.
I thought it was central Ohio?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that he means Central Ohio. In D1, SE Ohio goes to Central Ohio since there are so few big schools in SE Ohio.
Back to Supertramp's comment of the number of NE Ohio schools that would probably make it out if they were in the central region vs those in the SW region (probably only Mason & St X), you're probably right but that said, NE Ohio has more overall depth this year than SW Ohio does - in D1 and particularly in D2.
Agree..look at D1 girls Boardman..11 state ranked teams. 3 of the top 7, 7 of the top 15
4. Avon
5. Shaker Heights
6. Westlake
11. Rocky River
13. Glen Oak
14. Wadsworth
15. Brunswick
18. Strongsville
19. Medina
21. St Joseph Academy
26. Revere
Yeah, there's no comparison with the NE Ohio girls and the rest of the state in terms of depth but I was specifically referring to the guys. Outside of Mason & St X, NE Ohio also has more depth.

It certainly feels like the wrong year for the Cincinnati/Dayton boys to get 6 teams to state, and the Columbus boys to only get 5.
