The most brilliant lady in American history, who served as secretary of state of the most influential country in the world, did not even know that classified e-mails don't have to have "classified" stamped on them to be considered classified. And Democrats are bailing on Biden and Kamala to support Hillary again in 2024? LOL!!!
Thanks a LOT, agip, for making me have to agree with Sally (on Hillary's pretend ignorance about info security) for perhaps THE first time ever !!!
Wholesale inflation in the United States surged again last month, rising 9.7% from a year earlier in a sign that price pressures remain high at all levels of the economy

Nonequals' response got a chuckle out of me. Thanks nonequals!

no doubt there were some classified emails on her server. Not a disputed fact.
(there is near-zero real support for HRC to run for anything in 2024)

Thanks for your post, Agip. Question for you ... if you were given the choice of Hillary, Bernie Sanders, Liz Warren or Kamala Harris as Democratic nominee for president, who would you go with?
You didn't really answer the question...I mean so many politicians inherit or marry into their roles. Bush1, Bush2, Trump, Rand Paul, FDR, JFK, Liz Cheney, etc. Do you dislike them all the same amount has you dislike HRC and for the same reason?
My not having done a compare-and-contrast with every other politician in history - or even recently - does not mean that I didn't basically answer the question.
I also reserve the right not to care for MULTIPLE politicians. And pretty sure I exercise it.
Also, perhaps she's more notable because it was unique. Yes, we all know the silver-spooner thing. But marrying coattails, riding for a few decades, and then jumping off at NYS Senator? A new one. And gross. AND lionized for it, with no caveats in sight.
Lastly, some or all of those politicians were criticized for exactly what you're saying (although Bush Sr. is more questionable on your list). I don't recall anyone on the left making this criticism of her. And those on the right didn't even criticize her FOR THAT, that I recall. I guess I'm the only one that noticed.......
This thread is understandably focused on the nightmare that is the current R party. But it's useful to be reminded periodically that no side is within a light year of perfect balance, consistency, and fairness.
I find myself agreeing with you an alarmingly high percentage of the time, so perhaps my opinion doesn't count here. But, I certainly noticed the same thing and I have the same perspective as you do.
(While some here would be quick to try to place me in the "Left" bucket, I consider myself to not be in any particular bucket - so perhaps we still don't have "anyone on the Left making that criticism of her.")

the point of all this talk from me on HRC is that trump and the GOP told so many lies about her that even the 'good republicans' have come to believe them.
I realized in 2016 that reality would have little to do with GOP votes and that they preferred to be misled because that got them all riled up and they LIKED being all riled up.
And also, she does inspire a pure distilled loathing from right wingers and I've never quite understood why. And no one has written anything that explains it well to me. Probably something about her yells 'phony' and 'scripted' to them.
But mostly it's just the GOP lies wormed in and took hold. I mean Benghazi for example. FFS.

ach they are all terrible candidates. Put a gun to my head I pick HRC because she would actually be a good president. But she'd lose the general election.
Or Harris because while she is flawed she just seems to win every danged election she enters.
Hey I know I'll regret this but why did you dislike HRC so much?
Generally speaking, I like people who pay their dues. Earn their jobs. She didn't. She's held up as a feminist idol, but she seems the opposite: Graduate from a prestigious law school and go out and kick a** yourself? Nah, I'll marry this smart, talented, ambitious guy, maybe do a little legal work along the way, get one or more big responsibilities as First Lady I certainly don't deserve.....AND THEN FINALLY I'll decide......"Hey, I want to be a Senator!"
How about something lower, for starters? "Nope, Senator!"
OK, of Arkansas? "Nope, NEW YORK !!! Nothing less will do."
Gross.
I have no doubt that she's smart and capable. But so are a lot of people who worked their way up. Add to it that it's so easy to imagine her being full of herself (and her clearly assuming that we're all stupid during the e-mail scandal only supports this), and.....again, gross.
Some of that is understandable. I didn't like her vibe either, but I started to respect her shrewdness and effective style. Bill would not have gotten to the WH without her btw - she ran the show. Politics is a power game, and she played it well. As a POTUS, she would have been vicious, but in a good way and not a treasonous clown like orange boy. I think she would have been extremely effective. There was something else - Putin was very afraid of her. Was she my favorite? Heck no, but my she was obviously light years better than fat boy.
I'm sure rudy just wants to have a spotlight on him when he throws the middle finger to Liz Cheney...but the optimist in me has him flipping and trying to save himself.

On the other hand, you shouldn't blame her for who she is. She couldn't go back in time and not marry the person she married.
So she got lucky and she was able to mix that luck with talent and determination in order to land a US Senate seat.
Should a woman be expected to just hide behind her husband the rest of her life?
I say good on Hillary for taking what life gave her and making the most of it.

Maybe it's just me. But I find born into privilege less deserving than marrying into privilege. At least the latter takes some efforts, while the former is completely a matter of luck.

She wanted to be a bigshot lawyer in DC but she failed the DC bar exam so moving to Arkansas and marrying Bill was plan B. Worth keeping in mind.

I wonder what level of cooperation Rudy will give. And I also wonder what he is getting in return.
If you want to have some more reason for optimism, maybe Rudy is sensing the collapse of the Trump empire and he doesn't want to be under it when it falls.
And also, she does inspire a pure distilled loathing from right wingers and I've never quite understood why. And no one has written anything that explains it well to me. Probably something about her yells 'phony' and 'scripted' to them.
She didn't stay at home and baked some cookies. Some men loath women who do not know "their place."
In a democracy, the truth sometimes finds its way into the light. John Durham’s recent filing indicates he has the goods on the tech company the Clinton campaign hired to infiltrate the Trump campaign.
