grass, barefoot, didn't look at watch... then lots of barefoot walking, no pain, no twinges, as you would say in some areas... no nuthin, man, ...i ain't got nuthin...

AM - 17:30 WU, 20:00 tempo run, 5* 1 minute on, 1 off, 20 minute CD. ~9 miles
PM - 3 mile shake out run on the treadmill.
tpcb,
You are on a roll. Those double negatives can be boss, despite the obvious grammar issues.
PM. 2.4 mile out and back.10:20 out, 8:28 back.CD with light stretching and calesthenics.
That rosie ruiz thread posted a couple weeks ago, was by one of my old college team mates. How cool to re-establish a link. We had lost track of each other over 25 years ago.
24 minutes, hot
Good work, everybody! I am very impressed.
Yesterday I did a long run of about 65'. Usually my long runs exceed this, but I cut things short due to the tough weather conditions. Even though I did it early in the AM, it was still rididculous.
Keep up the good work, all!
Extreme trail; 6.5 miles in 1:18, some climbing and hiking involved. Too humid and hot to push the issue.
Material girl and A-Rod, it makes me chuckle.
sunday: 11k trail race, hassle free, in 50:21, in 5Fs
monday: biking
tuesday: 50mins trails, hills
lots of barefoot walking in between...
8x800m, starting at 2:06, gradually building to 1:59. I'm training for a sub 19min 5k.
For all the time off, an excellent re-entry race.
Heading north, again.
took some time off to calm some calf cramping....hit it for 35' today....still some cramping, but i'm sick of sitting around.....time for another banana....
50 minutes in the pool,today.
Yesterday, 26.2 Grand Island trail Marathon. 4:31, good thing going until 20, when persistant recurring cramps forced a 6 mile walk to the finish.
The scenery is better when you slow down.
Cat-ski, 41:00.The tweaked left ankle was happy for the variety. 15 minutes stretching and mild strength work, to wrap it up for the night.
took a second day off to appease the calves....gonna give it a go tomorrow....had my banana today....will that do it?.....
4 X 400s, 1:34, 3 mile cool down
Dare to add some pretzels and chips in case salt is the culprit.
AM; 29:15 cross-train
PM; 5.2 miles in 43:42. Muggy night bathed me in sweat.
tpcb, what's up?
thanks for the recommendation, driske....i usually have some salted nuts with the evening pint(s).....actually i think the cramps were the result of a recent up-and-down bike ride of several miles....i had done no recent biking before that....anyway today's run was uneventful in that there was but one mild, early cramp....everything else was status quo for the 40' jaunt....smiling now....
1 mile wu, followed by 3 miles @ 7:30 on hilly terrain, 1 mile cd.
Weds. Rest
Thurs.AM Relaxed 4.1 in 35:21
Hey, all! I'm glad to see the thread thriving in my absence. I've been away on vaca, but got online at the local library. Good stuff!
Not much running to report here. Lots of hiking and sightseeing, though. Does that count? I did sneek in a 45' jaunt on Tuesday. Nothing since then.
I should be back soon to my regular posting position. Until then.....Keep up the good work, all!
Easy 7.5 mi this morn to try to beat the heat (I wish). Out the door soon for another easy 3.
