I think you can argue both sides/cases. But I prefer to go with my gut and experience (over 40 years).
You just never see someone running a final with such control and ease. She seemed to be running a qualifying round. It was truly abnormal for the time/quality she showed. It's that simple for me. My shyte detector went off. I bet if you ask all other athletes in the field ... in private they are thinking the same.
it's a shame. You almost have to be juicing these days to "get it right".
You start with something that would seem to make sense... to dummies but you know you run your best times when everything feels easy. I bet you all the runners that ran pbs today looked good doing it... the ones that didn’t probably looked like crap.
Also, I don’t think any runner is thinking it except for maybe simpson. It was a great race and the fact that so many did well makes perfect sense.... not to say someone couldn’t be doping but Sifan seems legit to me.
Oh, I don’t go with my gut often but I have more experience that you...
Sifan should be able to show her class over the next 10 years.... maybe I’ll eat my words one day but what she did doesn’t surprise me at all. Would anyone be surprised if she had won the 5k instead?
