Legese was the only one who didn't blow up, not even just the Japanese. Chumba 3rd in 2:08:44

I did think to myself at the start, "The weather isn't htat much different than Boston last year."
So last year in Boston what was the weahter. 10 degrees colder and windier? Was there a headwind?
NOt a surprise almost everyone BLEW UP.

Karoki may just be like Tadese and his best distance is the half.
Guy just broke 2:07 and came 2nd in a major. Yes it wasn't London, but sub-2:07 isn't bad by any means.
No Japanese man will break 2:10 today and these three guys coming in are dying, but they'll break 2:11.
Doped winner. Who engineered this guy? Rosa? Hermens? Whatever. Congrats to my clean Japanese comrades.
No Japanese men unber 2:10 this time, Horio 5th overall 1st Japanese in 2:10:21
All 3 Japanese men made the trials! That's all they'll care about after this weather lol

Legit looked like he had just finished a training jog. Not even tired. What a joke.
Legese's agent is Jos Hermens
This 9th place guy has run sub-2:12 twice and still didn't qualify for the trials.
10th place misses qualifying by 4 seconds.
Daichi Kamino (2:11:05) also qualified for trials, he needed 2:11:42 for the sub 2:11 average. Tadashi Isshiki missed by 4 seconds.
Women are down to Ruti Aga, Helen Tola, and Shure Demise
How many finish line tapes do these guys have. Jesus.
It blows my mind. There is a great women's race going on and they don't show it.
Sato with 2:15:07. Ouch.

It's a good performance today, especially with the early pace and weather. But I think the expectations for Karoki were pretty high after his half marathon and 10k performances and he has not met those in his marathons so far.
jAPANESE DON'T messa around. Dude just ran 2:12 and won't be in the Trials.
He needed a 2:12:17 to hit the 2:11 2 race average andmissed it by 4 seconds.

Some light reading. Enjoy:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=sexism+in+japan&t=ffab&ia=webAfter their best year ever last year are the Japanese now going downhill? Looks like they won't have anyone run under 2:09 this year. Just like USA!
I wonder how many U.S guys would qualify for the trials if they had a similar system? Sub 2:11 two race average doesn't seem possible for anybody but rupp, and sub 2:11 in new york or boston and top 3 american men also doesn't seem possible for anybody but rupp.
LOL!!
