Virginia Tech didn't do themselves any favors by showing the wrong shove. Yes, O'Lionard stumbled on his own accord first but he got 2 fully extended arms into his back.

yeah, he didnt cut in because there was a person there. a person who put up their hands to prevent said cut in.
One hand on Leeder's left elbow, the other square in the middle of his back...then forcefully extend both arms causing Leeder to stumble and break stride and be forcefully moved from his position.
The video of the two handed shove to the ground of O'Lianord coupled with Mulherin's past incidents of dirty racing are not helping your arguement. The fact that VaTech will not show the bell lap incident from the ACC video despite obviously having it is proof that they don't want you to see it because it upholds the Mulherin dq.
Dude, the video of the 1983 Milrose mile is hilarious. The guy who wins looks like he is about 35 years old.
i love lamp
Mulherin might be the first guy in history to get robbed and keep all his jewelry
ima let ya'll finish but that was one of the greatest last laps of all time

I accuse everyone who is defending VT and Mulherin in this thread of being complicit in his abusive actions. His conduct amounts to blatant assault, both physical and verbal, and should be prosecuted as such.
Maybe if he issued a formal apology, which any decent, moral abiding character would do in such a situation, it wouldn't be so bad. But he was cussing all over at FSU's staff members, and if you are defending such a terrible thing then maybe you should be prosecuted too.
I'm glad VT lost the title for such unsportsmanlike behavior. No class. The entire VT staff should issue an apology
He thought the rules didn't apply to him, and he got burned. I wouldn't be surprised if he planned it all before the gun went off.
Dude, you are what is wrong with America (unless of course, you are Canadian). Blatant assault that should be prosecuted? Why are you such a whiny pussy? Watch 5 seconds of any college basketball game where the centers are shoving the crap out of each other and constantly talking shit back and forth - I guess they should they be prosecuted for assault? Please tell me you don't believe what you're saying. Here's a free tip - when you overstate your case, you lose credibility.
Is ti true that the coach is gay with the shotput guy?
Can someone confirm?
Dude, he said prosecuted as such. Meaning DQ'd. He never said prosecuted for assault, moron.

no, you are the moron. here is what he said: "His conduct amounts to blatant assault, both physical and verbal, and should be prosecuted as such."
"as such" refers to "blatant assault, both physical and verbal." the plain meaning of this statement is that he (mulherin) should be prosecuted for blatant assault, both physical and verbal. if that's not what Homestretch Observer meant to say, then he misspoke.

Mike Stahr was a big time runner.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_StahrBesides being the big HS Millrose star he anchored the still standing NCAA 4X800 record with a 1:45 split while at Arizona State and also anchored a DMR for Georgetown in 3:54 for a then NCAA DMR record.
Incidently, in 1994 when I joined the Reebock Enclave for a short stint I was given a box of running gear with his name on it. I guess he was going to give running one more go but opted out.
Maybe he was harboring guilt all those years for those elbows at Millrose.
rollie braman: you are a hero.
homestretch observer: you suck. and are def. canadian. you are the one bashing a college athlete making him look like a total dbag when he did nothing wrong. even if the "VIOLENT PUSH" was his fault, he did nothing wrong in his reaction and did not verbally assault any coaches or officials. go put your head in a hole somewhere.

Jeez, read the post under this handle. It's clearly obvious that someone who didn't like the fact that I(Homestrech Observer) actually made some rational arguements, and actually witnessed the before, during, and after events of the 3000m at the ACC meet. So, since I didn't register the handle, they decide they can make up ridiculous arguements to take away from my earlier rational ones. It really is quite childish but typical of the letsrun poster who despite all the evidence to the contrary insist that their view is right (ie. Mulherin didn't foul or use foul language towards another team's coach). When you get a real arguement or some sort of evidence that truly shows the guy shouldn't have been dq'd come back and talk to us then.

"Us" being the FSU coaching staff?
"Us" as in rational minded thinkers instead of overly emotional VT supporters
Full disclosure, my son runs on the FSU track team.

Not true. Only coaches were allowed in the finish area where you would have been able to see the incident unfold first hand. It is Harry Norton. No other person on FSU's staff talks the way you continue to write on this board. I guess you could take that as a compliment; a Dartmouth grad sticking out among idiots.
I doubt it for three reasons: He is one of the few posters on here who always signs his posts. He can probably spell "apologize." And, finally, I heard he left FSU to take a job elsewhere.
