Like an idiot? That's hilarious. He's often a smart racer which is why he's usually so.successful in championships.
He’s so successful in championships because he can run 7:25, 12:46, and 26:33. Probably a couple seconds faster in the latter two. He’s one of the fastest guys in history and way better than any current american
When he’s the favorite like today, he only takes charge when he should about 50% of the time. The other 50% he leaves it too late and comes in second.

I will add, in his favor, that he has been good in world championships, you’re right. 4th and 6th with a trip last time, definitely a couple of guys as fast as him that finished behind him. So I still have hope for these olympics
Without the fall he would have run 3:47.5, that fall at least took 2 seconds (maybe even more, he was on the ground for a while and had to sprint to catch up).
AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE PS. Laros seems to be the issue if he keeps tripping up.
The issue is surely having these insane numbers in the field. Can anybody explain the point when it totally ruins the race due to the inevitable falls? There's so many in the field, that the announcer skips over people like McSweyn when introducingn the runners. The spectators find it difficult to keep track of their favorite athletes during the race. Honestly, what is the reasoning behind it?
Laros is pure class. Just the fall alone cost him 3 seconds (the time between falling and getting up, and he still runs 3:49.45
3:49.xx for Laros after falling is quite impressive.
Shaking my head at the announcer who thought he’d dropped out when he was clearly visible on screen.
Yeah looks like he probably would've won without the fall. Has anyone else run that fast after falling? He's really getting screwed lately falling 2 weeks in a row, it looks like he'll go into Worlds as a bit of a wild card.
glad to have watched it live. Unfortunate falls for Mills and Gourley. Not clear why Laros fell. Giles involved again.?
Giles caught Laros from behind as he was cutting in. There was one odd entry in this one in Archie Davis. Based on form, Spencer, Rak and Giles had been showing weak form probably didn’t deserve a spot.
Shouldn't have let the pace dawdle over the last three laps.
Yeah Lobalu is not impossible to beat. He either generally goes hard from a way out or gets stuck a little far back and has to rally. Today, Fisher ran a conservative race but to beat Lobalu he had to take advantage of the positioning a bit more with an earlier move. That being said, not a bad performance at all.
I don´t understand all the speculation about what Fisher should have done or not done.
Perhaps he was inspired from the 5000m final at he recent Euros where 2 runners from Northern Europe also went in the front from 400m out. And that worked quite well vs Lobalu.

That 800 was really something special. Halimah Nakaayi ran a 1:57.26 PB/NR and was 6th. Allie Wilson ran 1:57.52 in 7th. Laura Muir ran 1:57.63 in 8th and the entire race I thought she was biting it.
