Dude, the answers are just canned, media-ready answers. I don't believe a lot of the bullying rumors on here, but if they were true she obviously wouldn't tell Runner's World.
Switching coaching situations twice during an Olympic year is not a recipe for success.
She needs to find some consistency.
Emily Infeld is a shadow of herself after jumping ship
Emily Infeld is essentially the biggest spoiled brat I have ever met. It's really hard to take all her stalker claims at face value. It sounds like an entitled princess exploiting a mentally ill person for the sake of publicity.
A fiery hell awaits her if she exaggerated even one part of that story.
sounds like she has some mental health / emotional issues to overcome. training by yourself for track distance events takes additional mental strength and usually doesn't end well for u.s. runners. hopefully she can be top 3 in the trials 5k, but anything beyond that doesn't look possible.

Bernard Lagat trained alone right? Molly Seidel? Alan Webb? Khalid Khannouchi? Galen Rupp for much of his career?
plus she has sub elite men that she runs with and has other training groups around she jumps in with as well. At least as much as those above do, anyway.

"Though she lacks a formal group, Cranny does some of her easy runs and warm-ups with Tai Dinger, a former Stanford teammate, and Olympic Trials marathoner Charlie Sweeney paces many of her workouts. “The three of us are a pseudo track club,” Cranny said. And she’s shared a few sessions with other pros around Boulder, including marathoner Sara Vaughn."
You were told why she left, because she didn't fit into the cult know as Team Boss. If you are looking for her to come out and tell you, that's never going to happen because she (Elise) has way more class and tact than I do and would not want to damage her career by naming people. Everyone knows about McGee and Coburn but no one wants to say anything.
The dummest she did was leave BTC for an Olympic year. He career is at its end
Eh I agree that a shift from something that was "working" in a big year is a bit of a shock, but she seemed really unhappy in her current spot, and I think ending up in the NAU coaching world is about the best case scenario for her.
She has always wanted to run the 1500 as well. Even if her better shot is in the 10,000, it really comes down to personal happiness.
