jserra and union catholic also recruit. there was actually a huge controversy about union catholic a while ago.
Jserra and Union Catholic are private schools. Unlike a public school, no one is forced to go to a private school, so of course private schools have to recruit to get students. Not just to get students who do sports but to get students in general. That's how all private schools work and it's not a "huge controversy" like you claim.
yes, i am aware that the schools who recruit are private. i am aware why they recruit.
also, there was a controversy around union catholic. #staypublic was a thing for a reason. they still get fire for competing in the new jersey state meet system.
you said sadie was trying to qualify for the state meet by running at arcadia. you are embarrassing. shut up.

Agree with all, but... doesn't NJ have a separate division/group for private and prep schools within the state system? They do for most sports, so Catholic Schools don't meet public schools until meet of champions level.
The girls’ 800 went out EXTREMELY fast. Ince went through in 28 and then 58.
How can a national class runner like Ince run so uneven - 58high/66low? A bunch for others ran 60/61 followed by 70+. Sheppard 61/74 - did she fall down?

It’s called she is a high school girl and went for it!!!! How about we highlight her guts in this race to do something super special.
Seems kinda crazy to fly from Illinois to California to run an 800 you win by 5 seconds because you’re clearly the class of the field, in 55 degree weather.

Too bad Ince doesn't have any other HSer who can really push her, even nationally. But I guess the last few years with Willis, Whittaker, Gorriaran etc. was itself an anomaly.
