Two Class A guys go 9:36
Wayzata relays will be today
Edina invitational
3200
Stillwater went 1-2-3
Foote - 9:26
Riniker - 9:39
Walsh - 9:50
Wayzata has 2 sophomores who weren’t on varsity for XC but ran a 9:55 and 9:59. This team is getting so much depth for this year and for the coming years too
Gullickson wins the girls 3200
Wayzata has a very deep returning squad.
9:09 / 4:23 (jr)
9:55 (so)
9:59 (so)
10:01 / 4:38 (jr)
10:02 / 4:40 (jr)
10:04 (fr)
10:06 / 4:35 (fr)
10:14 / 4:40 (so)
10:17 / 4:37 (so)
4:35 (jr)
This doesn’t include Adams (jr) who ran a 16:43 at sections at Gale Woods.
Having a low stick like Weber helps too.
They could be continuing the streak of XC state titles next fall and the year(s) after that.
It won’t be easy for them to win it next fall though. Edina and Minnetonka have a shot to win it as well.
Edina returns all of their top 6. Ohe brothers (sophomore and junior) do golf in the spring, not track.
Minnetonka took second last fall and return 4 of their top 6 from the state meet / NXR. Juniors Thomas (who also missed the end of last XC season) and Chose haven’t raced this season yet.

Wow dominant win. Sounds like Sal has been battling some injuries this spring.

Anyway to look up top times by class? I think Layton and Leibfried would have the top two times for the 1600 for AA
Isaiah Anderson 4:21.33
Jack Sorenson 4:21.43
Mankato East goes 1,2,3 in the 3200

Athletic.net is best for that...milesplit often doesn't have meets in their system
But yes Layton and Leibfried are 1-2 followed by Bjorn and Isaiah Anderson with 4:21 in AA
Watching the results of all the True Team Sections come in, it seems like a lot of the elite distance runner chose to run the 1600 at the Section True Team Meet as opposed to the 3200. According to Athletic.net there are already 15 runners that have run sub 4:20 in the 1600 which I believe is the automatic qualifying time for state in Class AAA.
