jumps should have a cumulative score instead of best jump out of 6 tries. If you go 17.40 five times, you had better showing than someone who went 17.41 and scratched the other jumps
I haven't seen a single award ceremony and now they show one because Lyles is crying during it? F-ing American coverage is so biased...no wonder no one believes their news programs, it's all fake.
Will never understand people crying about American coverage showing... Americans. I don't go to the Kenyan coverage and whine they aren't talking about Joe Klecker during the 10,000

NBC is an American network. If you watch BBC, they also cover British athletes more extensively.

it's an American feed, I don't know why you'd expect them to show award ceremonies for other countries lol
Agreed, but I think Dina Asher Smith is gonna skip running the finals anyways, she looked injured
I don't think you can advance based on someone else's DNS.
I could be wrong but didn't they change it for this world champs, specifically to avoid empty lanes (which look terrible). Happy to be corrected on this if wrong

And I'll bet you wonder why the sport is only followed during the Olympics and they draw crappy crowds and TV ratings.
Got to feel good for Noah- him breaking down while the Anthem is played was pretty emotional
Crisis acting, made for TV courtesy of NBC.
Can’t win- he doesn’t show proper respect for the flag and his achievement , you call him ungrateful. He breaks down on the medal stand, you call it acting

They haven't show ANY except this one. Selective journalism

Yeah for sure, Americans are just clamoring to see the medal ceremony for other countries. If only the Ethiopian feed showed Ryan Crousers medal ceremony we would be a bigger sport than Football and Cricket combined.

That wasn't live...it was recorded and then played. If he didn't cry they wouldn't have shown it.
I was impressed with Sha'carri. 10.84 with that reaction is great! Any halfway decent start in the final will get her at least a medal if not a gold.
Also, why don't they even let them put warm ups back on in that queued room?
The baskets with all their equipment are waiting for them when they go back to the call room. I assume it’s just a little too much to be sure that the volunteers bring the correct basket to the correct athlete at this new last chance room. It’s also quite a bit warmer inside the stadium than outside.

there's only been two other American golds & they weren't as notable/surprising as Lyles gold. Lyles emotional reaction likely added to them showing it.

You missed the point. The whole coverage is biased. I want to see the athletes from other countries, not just underperforming Americans making excuses.

Some folks like to watch the best track and field.
