Please. The American hope i.e. the desperate hope for a great 15oo-runner. This is not about the kick as such. Nuguse will have no kick left if he follows Jakob the first 13oo. This year Jakob is going to run fast. Nuguse will not be able to beat Jakob nor Kipsang or Hoare or Garcia in Rabat. This is just a hype.

In your justified excitement over Jakob there is no need to try to denigrate Nuguse.
Nuguse´s indoor mile this year in low 3:47 is a world class time. Slightly better than Jakob´s WR time in the 1500m from last year (when dividing the mile time with 1:08).
Nuguse´s indoor mile time is way better than Filip and Henrik Ingebrigtsen´s OUTDOOR PBs ( 3:49 and 3:50 respectively). If you was viewing through neutral glasses you had to recognize than Nuguse looks to be the foremost challenger to Jakob ( perhaps together with young Kenyan Reynold Cheriuyot).
If Nuguse is showing up in Rabat in his indoor shape I predict him to be in top two. If he has improved from his indoor campaign (which would be quite natural) he could win.
I agree with Jon Gault that this is one of the most exciting DL 1500m races for years.
By the way: Nuguse is not 9 month older than Jakob as stated by Jon, but more than 15 month older!
