Brahe-Pedersen not staying home is the word. Rest in contention with one a slight edge. May not sign until March and see how her final schools fare indoors and what transpires on campus.

79th at Woodbridge. Maybe the kid talked to them and took it as a commitment.
Not remotely saying this is what happened here, but I know of a case where a kid decided to walk on at a school. He told Milesplit he was a commit to the school and was listed by them. All without even talking to the coach, who when he found out wouldn’t let the kid try out.

All of you are acting like if all top runners want to attend NAU. Yes they are NCAA XC champs but that school is not top tier academically so it will steer many to other schools.
Our current top American runners attended other schools.

He's run a 9:15 3200M and 15:19 5K so those are solid times for a walk on and college recruit.
Huh? We know that 99% of top runners attend other schools but that doesn't change the fact that he is below the normal recruiting standards of NAU. Local kid ran 4:17/9:12 junior year and NAU told him he had to break 9 early senior year in order to walk-on. He ran 9:17 indoor and 9:02 outdoor and went elsewhere.

im sure that does happen but several NAU runners including Colin Sahlman commented on his post congratulating him.

There are other things they look at aside from running. Character is one along with grades. They like to see if he fits the bill. Just because you're fast it doesn't mean you fit their bill.
All I'm saying is that the IG post could be legit and a lot here are questioning the kid's post.
one thing to note is that a lot of the 2024 class at least most main players have committed and most are not attending NAU.
150 juniors ran faster. NAU is the top program in the country. It is a nice time but not a time that NAU will normally take.
He had some good junior cross country teams to back his 9:15 up with. I had him on my list of potentially having a breakout at woodbridge this year, most likely sub 14:30 maybe 14:20. He must have gotten injured at woodbridge because he hasn't raced since.
