If that was staged, Will Smith better fire someone for allowing his image to be crushed and making his award acceptance speech incredibly awkward.
DAMN STRAIGHT!
More evidence that you are not very bright. Why do you incessantly attempt to convince these morons that it was not staged? They won’t be convinced. So why do you do it? Boredom?
But Id like to see a video of when the transition happened to Will Smith and he went from laughing at the joke to getting mad. When he gets up from his seat to walk onto the stage.
Does it exist? Because that may clear this question up about whether it was faked or not.
Ok, brother, use your head here...there is no thinking about it. NO WAY IN FREAKING HELL WAS THIS FAKE. Will Smith (I mean he has $350 million so he's not going to be on food stamps) has possibly starred in his last movie. Part of the reason he is an A List movie star is because he's likable. Well, not anymore. F*ck Will Smith. Just because a person or an entity gets some much-needed publicity (The Oscars in this case) from an event doesn't mean there was a conspiracy to make it happen. Do you know how many people would have to be in on this for it to be fake? There is NOTHING in it for Will Smith. Chris Rock didn't even need the attention. He's got 2 movies coming out this year with a third one announced, and he's producing, writing, etc.
Don't fall into this trap. The people here who think this is fake are out of their f*cking minds, and they have NO powers of observation. It is SHOCKING.
I agree. Like people still say when Bruno teabagged Eminiem at the MTV awards was fake. There is no way Eminem would have agreed to that. It ruined his street cred forever.
Who can forget when Sacha Baron Cohen landed on Eminem face during the 2009 Movie Awards?#MTV #MTVAwardsSubscribe to MTV: http://goo.gl/NThuhCMore from MTV:O...

1) Sacha Baron Cohen is known for that kind of thing. Will Smith and Chris Rock are not.
2) Sacha Baron Cohen and Eminem came clean about how it was coordinated almost immediately.
3) Not exactly sure what point you are trying to make here, but if in any way you believe that this Will Smith-Chris Rock thing is fake, then you are a moron.
Flagpole is obsessed with this being real. So Will Smith violently reacts to a mildly insulting GI Jane 2 joke. But Will Smith does nothing to the dozens of guys who train his wife on the daily while married. That makes perfect sense. Stop watching The View Flagpole, not good for your blood pressure.

1) Not obsessed with this being real. It just IS real. I remain SHOCKED that there are so many morons out there who believe this was faked. You are in that group. Makes you a moron
2) Smith and Jada have an OPEN MARRIAGE. I actually don't care anyway about Smith's behavior regarding anything else. I ONLY care what he did in this one case. He physically attacked a professional comedian for words he said.
3) Um...I don't watch The View. Also, I have low blood pressure.
Of course there will be "disciplinary" proceedings. Maybe a "Congratulations, you two sold it well! The whole world is talking about the Oscars and this year it isn't about our horrible ratings." Then in public a slap on the wrist punishment.
What do you think will happen? A Will Smith ban from awards shows?

I have no idea what they are going to do. No matter what they do, it won't be enough, but it will be some sort of punishment. Do you think he would be a party to a rouse and accept ANY kind of punishment as a result?
#1 look at the slap! Look closely. No contact! #2 he actually appears to be acting, and later said he felt he was playing a part. #3 it is well known that the awards show was falling bad in the rating. This stunt got people taking about it. That's what they wanted. Snoop Dogg said he that it was fake too. And if was fake was Denzel Washington in on it? Or was this between the Smith's and Chris Rock? Please show me the contact between Will Smiths hand and Chris Rocks face?
1 - There was contact. Smith got Rock with fingers across the face and judging by sound and Rock's head turn, got him good. If he had gotten him with palm or wrist, Rock wouldve stumbled a bit more. Rock had adrenaline going for being live on Oscars and probably had a shot before going on stage.
2. Who was acting? Smith was not acting...except maybe for his wife or his own ego. No way. More likely - he lost control and/or is so out of touch he thought he could just get away with this. And he probably has gotten away with assaulting people in clubs where there were no cameras or phones. This time he did it in front of the world.
3. So...you're presenting motive for Oscars staging this? And what motive was there for Rock to do this for the Oscars? To get embarrassed in front of the world by having another man slap him across the face? Or Smith - to distract from his Oscar, the pinnacle of a 30 year career? You think Rock and Smith love the Oscars so much they did that for Oscars?
As for the rest of your post - Snoop Dogg's opinion doesnt matter whether it was real or not. Denzel wasn't in on anything because there was nothing to be in on. Will Smith lost control of himself and came off looking horrible. There's no conspiracy. And you won't likely see better contact b/c cameras too far away at bad angles - Oscars don't film fights.

This actually may have convinced me it was real. Did not know that that was will smiths first Oscar award.
Maybe all the publicity with his wife lately was enough to have things at a boil in his mentally unstable family, then the little joke was too much on a day he thought was his as a “redemption.”
Tbh though the slap seemed kinda weird. Plus Rock didn’t wince or say anything before like “it’s just a joke man”.
Plus all the stupid people I know think it’s real… but idk anymore.

Rock did wince and was knocked backward. Like I said, he probably had adrenaline going being live on stage at Oscars and probably had some alcohol in him so he didnt feel it as much as he would have if he was cold and sober. That plus Will only getting him with fingers, even though Will put some weight being throw at short range, was why Rock didn't wince or show more.
And Rock did said "it was a GI Jane joke" when Smith sat down after Smith screamed the first time. Not sure if you got to see the full incident. I was streaming it on a non-American telecast so the 7 second delay wasn't an issue. I've seen the American telecast with the delay and that might be contributing to confusion. IDK why he lost control, but he clearly did. Relationship nonsense or personal pride or whatever....but bad look all the same.
But no good reason to think it was faked. Helped nobody. Hurt everyone.
I'll confess that one mega multimillionaire ($350 million) slapping another millionaire worth $100 million wasn't really high on the list of things I care about so I didn't spend a lot of time looking into it before I posted that I thought it was staged.
That said, I no longer think this was staged. Based on what we know now, including body language expert weighing in, I was wrong.
