If he got a regular cold and died (a very real possibility for someone with MM), you'd say he died of complications related to his cancer.
Only for COVID do we scream that the virus did him in, not the advanced cancer.

He had blood cancer not sure what type. Either way the main effect is reducing you white blood cells dramatically. This can if treatment unsuccessful or its chronic reduce your immunity eventually to zero and even with antibiotics and vaccines you've got limited time left.
Anti vaccers are ageist morons and filling up the hospitals in the UK. Vaccination is no guarantee just like wearing a safety belt.
