I have a feeling Jesuit has been training through most of the regular season to run well at NXR. I expect them to come through in top 2. It's not uncommon for Texas teams to show up flat to Nike South Region.

interesting seems like they changed their approach from last season. Well if they do place top 2, it's good to see them come back strong after last year.
My feeling is that 5th place at NXN this year, would have won the majority of nxn titles any other year. American Fork, Herriman, CBA, Belen Jesuit, Southlake Carroll, Dana Hills, and Niwot are real heavy hitters this year. I know that everyone is gunning for either 1st place or podium spot. However, there is nothing disappointing about your season if you place top 5 or top 10. Just my thoughts on the matter.
Steven's Point gets the job done at NXR Heartland over Wayzata, 105-132.
It seems unlikely that the Heartland will get an at-large, given that the third place team, Dowling Catholic, scored 188, averaging 15:48 to the other team's 15:33 and 15:29.

Would this years 5th team have beaten any NBP team or Loudon Valley? Well that's 6 yrs in a row the 5th place team would not win.
We'll see how that all do on the day. A few underperform and someone will have a great day.
Truth hurts. Rocky Mountain / Franklin could have won either the nxr heartland and nxr midwest today. Now just wait for results from California/Southwest can do. Trust us letsruners on this, midwest/northeast is overrated in these rankings when compared to the west. #9 Carmel couldn't even get top 3 in midwest.
crazy to me how heartland only returned a few sub 9 guys this year. They have the best individuals by far in the nxr regions. top 3 are also juniors
Yes, Heartland has a great junior class. But remember, there is also junior Evan Noonan from Dana Hills CA
According to the stats I have, this course is around 15 seconds faster than Woodward Park. Simeon Birnbaum and Jackson Heidesch negative split it last year.

it could be even more than that, I was being conservative. Those 3 would be around 14:48 woodward park

No the NBP 2019-2022 teams and the LV 2017-2018 teams were exceptional. However, before that 5th team this year would have won 50+% of the nxn titles
Senior Rachel Forsyth might be able to win NXN based on today’s performance
Rachel Forsyth a 161 speed rating.
I don't think she will be anywhere near beating Leachman though. Leachman has a 163 speed rating from the west, and that is a speed rating in the WEST.
Evan Noonan, Joe Barrett, Broen Holman, Robert Mechura, Manny Putz, Juan Gonzalez, Landon Pretre, Benjamin Anderson, Tommy Latham, Ty Steorts - can all compete at a very high level.

Brady Mullen should be in the list too.
Recupero and Tostenson were 2 of the best freshmen in the country two years ago, but NXR NW and this year as a whole showed how little that means now.
When they were all 7th graders, Broen Holman was by far the best in the class (there was an article written about him on runnersworld too!). And now he is still up there.

There are many other fast juniors as well that could see themselves joining the top group: Ethan Zuber, Westin Brown, Tayvon Kitchen, Owen Powell, Vincent Recupero, Hudson Haley, Ben Montgomery, Jack Bowen, Keegan Smith, tj hansen, Sam Quagliaroli, Eyan Turk, Eli Ilg, Andrew Walton, Dylon Malleny, Nate Stratlander
