But significantly slower than the other divisions at the same course. Taylor (winner of the Ohio division) would've been 1:20 behind Gabelman and barely in the top 10 in the Capital division.

There’s no way to know that unless they’re in the same race. You can’t compare xc times from one race to another race even if they’re the same course. Why does everyone always do that?

Because it's the... same... course. On the... same... day. With the... same... conditions.
No one predicted Scioto would beat Kilbourne because no one predicted Miller to not race. Same reason that most people (myself included) didn't see Orange or Liberty beating Coffman because I didn't expect Bolton not to race. Kilbourne is not going to lose to Scioto again as long as they run their full team.

No excuses. Dublin Scioto led by Buckeye commit Weston Day take 2nd place behind WN. WN might be the best in the state so no shame. Day and Scioto boys are closing STRONG!

How is missing your #2 due to illness an excuse? I say it's more a reason. Since Miller is typically about 35 seconds behind Smith (this year), it looks like he'd have been right with Weston today. I'm not sure that bodes well for Scioto when WK is at full strength. I'll repeat what I said before... Scioto has no chance to make it to Obetz.

It’s just gotta be next man up. If our #2 goes down it’s just next man up. Going to be some more surprises in store.

That's because your 2nd man can't run 4:18 or 15:30. Lots of guys can "step up" and run 16:35.
All this talk about not sleeping on Dublin Scioto is only half right . . . the Dublin part is correct.
The team that people should not be sleeping on is Dublin Jerry.
I have foolishly been paying little attention to them this season and I am now beginning to wake up (don't sleep on 'em!).
Could it be said that Ricchiuti and Guerrera are the best 1-2 punch of all the D-1 boys teams in Ohio? I want to believe this.
Also, I checked their OCC results: they put seven guys under 17:00. On its own, it may be easy to say "so what!" to that, but how many teams are putting all of their guys that toe the line below 17:00? Kilbourne isn't doing it. Neither is Scioto.
I am no longer thinking that Dublin Jerry might get to Obetz: they will. The question on my mind now is: how close to first place will their team finish at the regional meet?
I am beginning to think that Dublin Jerry will be a top five team at Obetz.

Nope. I’m doubling down on Scioto. They have been laying the foundation to PEAK at the right time. Starts by beating Kilbourne and each week will get better at this point. The tapering will work to get fresh legs and new PRs. Some say Coffman, some say Jerome, but in the end there can be only one. SCIOTO
I am thinking that the first four (not necessarily in this order) to clear the SE Regional to get to Obetz will be WN, Dublin Jerry, Orange, and the Cough Man. Who will be the fifth and final team?
Would it be Lancaster or Olentangy Liberty over Scioto and WK? Perhaps.
