It seems like Mason is vulnerable if a 5th doesn't step up.
According to XC team scores on Milesplit, West. North is above Mason. North having a 5th man really helps them.
1- West North - 486. 14:49 15:47 16:03 16:05 16:06
2- Mason - 494 15:31 15:32 15:51 15:56 16:25
3- Mas Jackson - 601 points 4- St. Xavier - 608. 5- Olen Orange - 751 6- Kilbourne - 804 7 - Dub Jerome - 807 8- Lancaster - 835 Dub Coffman is 23rd in these rankings but they must have not run on as easy of a course as these other teams have
It appears as if half of Coffman’s varsity team might not be showing up milesplit. It could be a tech issue.
Yes, it does look like they are missing 2 of their top 4 (Bons & Ozbun) from the list. They do have a somewhat large 4-5 gap, but not as large as Mason’s.
St. X is starting to round up into form. They ran pretty well also.
Mason ran well but is beatable if that 4-5 doesn't tighten up. Westerville North is the most likely candidate to beat them but Jackson has the potential to as well if they tighten up a bit.
Personally I think Mason have separated themselves from Westerville and Jackson, I think their 1-3 is honestly out of this world and can probably toe the line with the likes of American Fork, Herriman, etc. I look forward to watching them continue to grow this season.
Les Eisenhart tomorrow with some decent teams entered. I see St X there but they may not run everyone. Then again, they might. I think that their league meet is next weekend but believe it or not they don't always run everyone at the league meet.

Don’t know how good of a race it will be. Entries show no varsity for Scioto, Coffman or St. X. Orange not running their top 4. Kilbourne has their top guys entered but they may not run or not go all out

Yeah, with league meets coming up and districts not that far around the corner, teams are beginning to adjust/taper. At one time Eisenhart was a pretty big meet around the time when Jha & Payne were at TWHS.
The ole "first two miles tempoing, and then let loose" ?
Eisenhart course is running like the Celtic Clash. No way it's a full 5k. Same with the middle school races. It's so blatantly obvious what these course designers are doing.
