Yes, where X = 10,000 dead and 30,000 injured. In Soviet Russia, dead soldier is good soldier.
Well, if they are willing to die, they probably know the reason.
I think figures you cite are somewhat inflated, though. They are based on reports by Ukrainian authorities. Russia have engaged about 150K-200K military personnel, all together (That number is about the same from all sources). It is highly unlikely that there are 25% casualties. It is not like Russian infantry is charging on Ukrainian trenches all day long.
Soldiers don't get to choose. They go where they're told or they are imprisoned or in Russia's case probably killed.

On Russian side, as far as I could read, they are all professional soldiers, volunteers, local militia and paramilitary. They have chosen. How they treat deserters and defeatists we can only guess. Russian army, probably the same way as any other army.

It seems your reading skills need some work:
"Unfortunately, several facts of the presence of conscripts in the units of the Russian armed forces involved in the conduct of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine were discovered," Defense Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said in a video message.
Russia's Ministry of Defense has confirmed that Russian military conscripts have been involved in the invasion of Ukraine and that some were taken prisoner by Ukrainian forces, just a day after President Vladimir Putin insist...

That's an absurdly naive viewpoint...
Soldiers who join the military in peace time and end up at war didn't choose the war that didn't exist when they signed up...
My mistake. I was thinking at present and forgot to mention that issue. If we can trust Russian officials, there were some conscripts, relatively small number, but they are not there any more. However, even conscripts give an oath, or whatever it is called, that they will defend country and so on. Part of this generation was extremely unlucky.
Seriously dude, learn English. You would be so much more convincing. As it is, you are just comedy hour.
It's not that we are laughing with you. We are laughing at you.
Seriously?! I thought my English was 100% perfect, indistinguishable from native speakers. I ask you again, please re-write my post in correct English, would you?
I would appreciate the info, why do you think I am Russian troll? You should be able to distinguish pro - Russian war in Ukraine from anti - world hegemony, anti - global domination, anti - imperialist, leftist, or something like that. I would accept such etiquette, except for the troll part. Russian troll I am not and can not be. For one, I am not Russian, also I am not trolling. All I said was either 100% true, or at least quite possible. Nothing to justify war, a lot to put blame on closed mindedness and bigotry of your like.
Now, wherefrom you get insight into heads of Putin, Zelensky, Trump, Budem and other characters often mentioned in this thread?
Watching a sitcom, if there was no canned laugh, would you know there was a joke?
Perfect English? Ummm, no.
Get some help, dude. They should provide you with more than one weekend of English lessons. Perhaps they ran out of funding?

So you're saying that all of these people chose a career where they would murder civilians? Seems like part of this generation choose poorly. Luck has little to do with it.

LOL! Man, you seriously do need canned laugh LOL! LOL!LOL!!!

No, I did not say that. If that is how you read my post, you should ask Real Obvi for some English lessons. He is not smart enough to understand further from superficial and obvious, but at least he has some reading comprehension ability.
Putin's War - The Daily Brief - March 31 5 weeks ago, Russia invaded Ukraine. After some initial gains, their progress rapidly slowed. Now, every day for the past week, Ukraine has retaken more territory than it's lost. See this thread for a series of maps and downloadable data. pic.twitter.com/MhsWKfrCDk

They either chose a career bombing civilians or they didn't. Which is it? Because you seem really confused.
Them and you, Magoo. Strange tactic for a self-professed Libertarian to adopt. But then again, it’s you - an internet gadfly that can’t decide what he thinks from one day to the next.
It is an absolute delight that you can't tell how bad you look... lol...
That's a pretty whacky thing to say considering you are the guy who (1) equated the Russian invasion of Ukraine with US involvement in Libya and (2) cried "racist!" when I pointed out how stupid that was. You looked really bad in that whole exchange. And now you look ever worse.

So in your tiny mind attacking sovereign nations is only problem when countries other than your own do it?
I cried "racist" because that's how the left thinks about every single issue.
What other reason could there be for you to support the war in one country you know nothing about versus a war in another country you know nothing about??

You cried "racist" because it was the best argument you could come up with. There is very little difference between you America-hating pro-Putinites and the woke-left.
You continue to look even worse. Why do you post about topics and events that you know nothing about?

Russia has far more legit reasons to be in Ukraine than USA did to go into Libya
