I did make a comment that when some said whites think this and whites think that, that all whites are not the same and don't think and feel the same. That was a racist thing to say. When they clarified their language not to group all whites together I indicated that was a better way to say it because that may have better reflected their thoughts.

This is what happens in subjects like this. You just gave me a shot because you group people, and somehow you grouped me as being in the opposing group.
I am in only the group that wants to understand and openly discuss race relations and racism.
Now I have a theory that you can disagree with and granted its just a hunch. I think it is very difficult for very liberal and very conservative people to openly discuss race. Their need to protect and defend their side interferes with their ability to think openly and out of the box.

I don't need you indicating anything to me, you walking fragility. As I wrote before, you're fishing for confirmation that racism doesn't exist except in the minds of liberals--and, even more, that you could never be one (based on the most abstract, grade-school "definition"). And jessriley is right: you ask for definitions, you get definitions. Nobody wants your idiot input. (And don't you tell me what's racist; I didn't ask--you did.)
What is your definition of a racist?
Two words - Coevett, Coevett, and Coevett.

This is a great example of the difficulty with discussing race. The above poster is attacking, closed minded and falsely accuses me of having an agenda that I do not have.
I don't think he would be a good person to discuss race relations.
Let’s get back to politics, since the original rules are being changed.
Trump is a racist.
Trump voters are racist enablers.
See, it’s not complex or layered; very simple & one-dimensional.

We have another thread to discuss politics. But if you want to discuss racism I am more than willing.
It is a complex topic though.
You’re getting better; you kept your post under 400 words this time.
To be fair, since you’re changing all the rules, I should ask, Who are your favorite racist politicians & political parties? Too complex, too layered?

Deer Coevett ;)
Your ego is so big you couldn't stand getting to the 9th page without being mentioned? hahahahahahahahaha
And always pretending (badly) to be ex-runner!

Actually when you bring this down to such a very low level, you just are validating my point about the difficulty discussing race issues. In discussing race some people feel more comfortable presenting some one as the bad guy.
Sorry to disappoint I'm not the bad guy.
Shouldn't you be yammering on incoherently in your own thread, you know the one where you talk to yourself page after page about some ridiculous long distance walk? You're in way over your head when it comes to politics and culture.

I have stubborn racist prejudices and assumptions as well, which emerge to my surprise and dismay when reading the paper or having a conversation with my wife.
Lol, I'd love to understand how this plays out. While reading the paper or chatting with your wife you randomly blurt out racist comments? Like Tourettes? Do you catch yourself immediately after it comes out, or is your wife policing your language and informing you when you're being racist?

Self awareness is a lot more subtle than that. Not obsession, mind you, just keen awareness.
