Is Horio sponsored by the Chicago Bears? Anybody see that C on his singlet?
Any finally some guys taking it wide on the turn!

NBC Sports Gold lead is down to 6:43 now.
I finally figured out that Horio is wearing a chain, but I still don't know what those four black tattoo looking things are on his neck.

Lol I just thought the same thing. Looks kinda like the Montreal Canadiens logo as well.
Horio passes Sato!
Japan's olympics trials will be interesting; Shitara (at Fukuoka 2018) and now Osako have shown they can be beat
This is really getting ugly for the Japanese guys that went out fast.

To everyone praising the Japanese going out super hard. Please realize the top Japanese guy will definitely come from the second pack and even he is running a massive positive split.
How many of these Japanese men are going to run Boston/London now to try to make the trials?
98 men have broken 2:10 so the 2nd Japanese man across the line will likely be #100.

Just tune into the Japanese broadcast.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J6SdbdiJ33Athe japanese commnetator said that one of the Japanese guys did seven 40k hard long runs in 2:05(5:02 mile pace) during a training cycle in preperation for the tokyo martathon.
Holy crap, that guy in the green singlet running behind Ichiyama was dying trying to keep up with her.
How many men and women are we projecting to even be in the trials right now?
STILL 6 women in the main group, 1:56:43 at 35k. Ichiyama 1:29 back
So is Legese the first guy to run super fast at Dubai(2:04:15) and actually follow that up with a time in the same ballpark? Most of these Dubai studs never seem to come close to what they ran in Dubai.
Legese takes the win in 2:04:48
Legese takes it in 2:04:48
Karoki in 2:06:48.
No Japanese runners in sight to break 2:08.
Karoki may just be like Tadese and his best distance is the half.
Karoki 2:06:48 PB
