Jenkins looks like he just jogged off in a huff there.
Was Ches supposed to give him this one in exchange for the 5k?

Ches looked back with 50 to go, Jenkins is pissed.

Jenkins did not look happy as he just went straight to the gate and high-tailed it off the track. What's up with that? Did they have some kind of deal that was broken?
Maybe he's tired of Ches sitting and kicking on him.
Seems everyone else noticed this too, but Jenkins body language was not that of a particularly happy athlete
Jenkins looked mad. Didn't even acknowledge ches.

Yes, he sure did.
How unlikable are these clowns from Oregon. They go one two and stomp around brooding after. Jenkins goes right into the locker room before third has even finished. Maybe say nice race to someone who did a bunch of the work for you.
Interested to hear the post commentary. Didn't look like an all out race at the end but Jenkins was obviously upset about something. Was Ches supposed to share the lead at some point towards the end?
It looks like Ches made his move right when they were coming up on the lapped runners, making it harder for Jenkins to get around and cover. I may have seen that wrong on the stream though. Jenkins definitely didn't look happy.
Actually... Jamal Walton down in Florida (a frosh, mind you) ran a US#5 46.22... so..
Name the middle schoolers and early high schoolers running 46's. I don't think you can.[/quote]

So if you're arguing that the faster you can run a 400, the faster you can run an 800, I don't know what to say to you.

Jamal Walton
Tyrese Cooper

Lovers quarrel. Chez sleeping on the couch tonight.

I'm not quite sure what part of this you are having trouble getting through your head. Rudisha would not be the 800m legend he is without his 45 second 400m ability, as would most of the world's top 800 guys (i.e. most top 800m runners are are speed-oriented). AKA (pay attention to this part please) Rudisha's considerable 400m speed is a SIGNIFICANT factor in his WR holding 800m ability. Is it the ONLY reason he is as good as he is? NO. Neither myself or Rawson have said so (this is the part you don't seem to get). It's not as if Rudy would be a better 800 runner if he spent more time training as a 400 guy, the key is a blend of both worlds (i.e. speed & endurance).
Please...for the love of god...understand what I am saying here. I am done typing on the subject. If you've just been trolling, well done. If not, then you dumb as hell fo reel.
That's it. Done. Good day to you brah.

Thank you.
And the 8th grader Cooper is even better -- he went 10.60, 21.3, and 47 flat in the same meet, and he doesn't even use blocks.
That looked way too easy for Ches. No one even hung on to them running 29 minute pace. Dont know what Jenkins is pissed about. Its not like he would have won if they were actually racing each other. Edward probably could run what he just did in a workout
it's jenkins' senior year. I think he was expecting ches to give him the win there considering he'll get like 12 more before his career is over. Kind of a dick move since it was an easy 1-2 jog for the last 200
Jeeze guys, get a room.
Meanwhile, Friday's 5k should be a lot of fun. I've got Jenkins 1st, Ches 3rd.
wow, that was really bizarre. Seemed like Jenkins and Ches weren't racing all out, then Ches surges on the homestretch while going past a lapped runner.
Ches reached back after the finish to congratulate Jenkins who wanted none of it. Shook Ches' hand off him like he wanted nothing to do with him. Kept jogging right past the finish and off the track.
Jenkins was obviously mad about something. Either Ches broke an agreement on how they would finish or he didn't share the work enough with Jenkins on those last few laps.
Maybe nature was calling
