Purely speculative on your part. I'm going on the assumption that Apple, Google, and MS are all spying if you're using their services. Not to mention, your phone provider can track any phone (even non-smartphones) using tower triangulation anyway. Doesn't really bother me actually, especially when a lot of the tracking is used for my benefit.
Disagree. Android has the best app ecosystem and the most-developer friendly API out there.
Disagree. Google services ecosystem is better than Apple's. Microsoft's is pretty good as well. We're talking products like Gmail, Microsoft Office 365. These are industry leaders with industry-leading ecosystems.

False. And more false than ever before in 2014! My factory-unlocked Moto G was $200 w/o contract. It's a GREAT phone. Would take it over an iPhone at any price.

iOS users tend to frivolously spend money, yes. That's sort of the point of this thread! Nonetheless, Android user base is far larger than iOS's and app development is plenty lucrative.
