That said, although I appreciate good sportsmanship and don't appreciate arrogance, I'm actually getting more optimistic on Rupps chances in London with this display.
Rupp has a ton of great characteristics as an elite runner, but one thing has lacked compared to the competitors that have beaten him at the top level is that real desire to win, to the point where you get angry (rather than dissappointed) when you lose. Think Bekele, Komen, Tergat, Geb and on a domestic level Kennedy, Solinsky. These guys don't/didn't walk around high fiving people when they lose/lost races that they could've won.
Like I said, when it crosses over to the arrogance and disrespect for competitors side I'm not a fan but for me it's good to see Rupp so confident and have that burning desire to win right now. I believe that is the difference between having a strong run and a 4th or 5th place finish and driving thru the line with a medal waiting for you.

I agree that it's good to see the intensity and focus in Rupp. He needs a bit of fire if he's going to be a medal contender. His 1:53 was definitely planned practice, and if it helps him snag a medal this summer, who gives a flying F if he shook Bumbi's hand or not? That will all be forgotten.
B's lean is NO BIG DEAL. More importantly, for his sake, I hope this means he's in sub-13:05 shape, because otherwise that 1:53 half had just drained his tank. We'll see.
