There is so much talk here on a runner I have never seen run.

I think German Fernandez is going to reach Jason Rexing status.
German Fernandez once beat Jason Rexing in a sprint because of a false start that passed without notice because of a car back firing. Rexing has always been suspected foul play and wanted a rematch, and German has been pretending to be injured since Freshman year to avoid having to give him a rematch.
I have a feeling this thread will be relevant a few times during Fernandez's cross country season:

This year he wont run as fast as he did as a Freshman.
I heard he is actually a woman and is going to start competing for the women's XC team at OSU. The official announcement is to come soon.

It's cross country, who gives a f*ck how fast he runs?
Thank you gf admirer and oldoldrunner for posting those links. I was really interested in reading this thread and was really dissappointed when all I saw were you id**ts posting jokes that aren't even funny. .
Fernandez has been kicked off the team for repositioning Smith’s car

I heard that German Fernandez made a joke about himself - and it was hilarious!
24:01?
Last week a six-page message board thread started with the question: German Fernandez status? What followed was the typical buffet of speculation, rumors, gossip, hearsay, false assumptions, and off-topic one-liners that you would expect from these types of faceless postings. Not one single comment had anything positive, not to mention supportive, to say.
This same question is still relevant - we know that GF just popped a 4:05, but what's his upcoming race schedule look like? What that a bad race or indicator of his fitness?
I recently saw him at a great clips in Stillwater, but didn't get a chance to talk to him - what's the deal with this guy?
It's over. It's so over that "it's over" is over.
Mentally, can he overcome the fact that he turned down $250K/year?????

Nope. Fernandez had a decent XC Championship race only two months ago. I assume that his season is aimed at making the Olympic team (I know it sounds unlikely considering his form over the last two years, but I assume it is still his goal), so a indoor race in January means very little. The guy is only 21 years-old with incredible talent. If he stays healthy from here to the OTs an Olympic berth or another NCAA championship is not out of the question.
