Wow...it's amazing to see the input on here about all these D1 schools. I developed an eating disorder going into my freshman year of college but on my own account. I didn't even realize losing weight benefited running until I'd lost 20lbs and ran like a minute faster. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) my body rebelled and I gained all the weight back (plus some).
I am so thankful my coach has been supportive... it is eye-opening to see other college coaches (especially for D1) weigh their athletes! My coach just told me I don't have to be as fast as I was freshman year and that I look a lot stronger and healthier now anyway...and that he wants to develop us into better people for life after college. Lots of great encouragement. Couldn't ask for a better coach!!
