This character Flutey seems to be completely obsessed with Rupp. While the rest of us comment on various points about the race, Flutey can't get his mind off Rupp. I suggest that Rupp get a restraining order.

Either that or a bottle of champaign and some strawberries!
short course or just really fast(i know it was on a golf course)?
dang I never realized Wheating was that good at cross!

timewise it seems to be running pretty similar to prenats
Coach Metcalf has delivered. A dominating performance by the women and surprising third place effort by the men. Very impressive.

Does Metcalf coach the men?
Does the Pope fu.k choir boys?

don't get ahead of yourself unless Pac-10's is the end and focus point of their season. we've seen similar things before (albeit not on this level for the women).
timing and peaking some of the most important skills of a great coach. what he did here will always have to be respected, but if there is a crash over the next few weeks it could sound more like a "oops" than a "wow".

That could be one of the most idiotic responses I have ever seen on this message board. Congratulations.
It's a great day to be from Washington. I've had my doubts and gripes about the Huskies (and all other Seattle sports for that matter...) but the Husky women (and men to some extent) gave me a little shot of pride today.
Congrats!
Yeah he does

A great performance by UW, and congratulations to the runners and the Coach. I am a little worried at how fast Schaaf is running, not only this early in the season, but this early in her career. She is obviously a huge talent, and we (especially we Canadians) hope she will still be running strong in a Maple Leaf uniform over the next 5 to 10 years.

you're worried because someone's running well? And I wouldn't call October 31 early in the season
If there's anything to be concerned about with Shaaf it should be that she appears to be way too thin. Good for short-term performance, but not healthy.
I wouldn't worry too much. No way that course is a legit 6k. The girl got rocked by Felnagle at prenats running about 50 sec slower than today (and Kuiken ran almost 20 sec faster than that). No way you improve 40 sec in 2 weeks...no way Felangle is 19:15 shape and Kuiken 18:55 shape.
