Grant ran a great race, stuck to the rail and never let himself get gapped. Still, with 200m to go I feared he'd be lucky to get 6th, then 30m from the end I thought he'd get silver for sure, so I'm disappointed he "only" got bronze. Tough, tough race against a great field and we should all be super proud of what he did.
I knew he could medal if he didn't fall. Very smart racing and not allowing a gap. This race was so exciting to watch especially knowing his potential. Great job Fisher!!!
He's uglier, he never participated that much on his school team for the first couple years, he had an odd coaching arrangement with salazar, worse name, also Rupp had a teammate in the race. Rupp trained with Farrah, No one in the top 10 was a training partner of Fischer so he went it alone
Hell yeah Fisher and Cheptegei. Ethiopian team tactics only got one medal, I feel like their fitness gap wasn't big enough to really run the steam out of people.
Team Tactics didn't get any medals. Nothing that the team did set Aregawi up for second place. He wasn't even in the running with 80 meters to go and neither of his teammates paved any path for him. That was all Aregawi at the end.
Yea You got to love the announcer's falling over themselves about the "brilliant team tactics". Ethiopia takes turns at the front but the rest of field doesn't need to take any turns... real brilliant.
By the way when did people start Taking victory laps with their flag around them that didn't finish on the podium , at least three Ethiopians running with flags draped around them.
