After every regional, Jonathan Gault will be running Bo Waggoner's program to see who is in and out. He'll post the results on the live blog on the front page: https://www.letsrun.com/events...
But I used the SEC result as another gage of what we are seeing. LACCTIC is another gage, and it will be interesting to see what it comes up with post-Regionals.
I agree with that. Asekol was the same distance from Valby today as SECs (more or less).
Lemngole and Olemomoi were a lot closer. I recall that the current Alabama coach has his runners train hard through SEC in the past.
I don't think this was an all out effort for any of the top 3, but I am guessing nationals will be a lot closer than SECs based on today. We will probably see Valby go hard, 1 elite chase pack who will try to run her down, and then the main chase pack.
I don’t think the Alabama runners or Maatoug should be chasing Valby at Natty’s. Instead, I think they should be keying off of Tuohy, who has raced and won on the course before, unlike Valby. The rest of the leaders in the top 15 should be keying off of Chmiel, for similar reasons.

But Florida’s 5th, Wilson, had a big step up today.
Fl does look solid if not great at 4/5. the question is how strong at 2/3. Asekol looking less like top 20 than top 30 to me. Mazza-Downie coming back but to what level? I still think they are in the mix for 3rd or 4th at nationals.

But the intrigue is whether or not an upset is in the making.
2k split for southeast women show tuohy and tynnismaa leading but no chmiel, bush in a pack in high 20s with hartman and schulz with quarzo a bit ahead of them. hopefully chmiel just resting and no injury. would be the death knell for any hopes of a title defense

I would say that Chmiel is reacting. Stephens also resting. I would have thought that they would have rested more.
