What a crazy effin race. 13 sub 13. Grijalva 12:52.97 off a 7:50.61 first 3k. Fisher runs 12:56 and is the third American. Both Kincaid and Klecker beat all my top 3 picks in the fantasy league.

Katir
Katir
Katir
as I predicted did it.
And Ingebrigsten/Lamecha has no better kick than him.
I have my own analysis about this.
Until now Katir was suffering from exhaustion in his races, it's not about the kick.

Kincaid has a faster indoor time, but I guess BU track.

Andreas Almgren; ended a DNF
What a crazy race that was

Katir finishing in lane 3 throwing his arm out too. The new Paul Chelimo!
Katir is really really good. He will always get shade here and maybe deservedly so but the guy is really good!
Tim Hutchings said during the race that it was a bit disappointing that the pace had lagged and they weren’t gonna run super fast, but that was infinitely more exciting to me than a 12:40 time trial. Great racing

Swedish record holder Andreas Almgren. Too bad. Could have been sub 13.
Bad news for Grant Fisher

Almgren…on his way to a Swedish record, probably 12.55 at least
Damn Fisher not even having a bad race and ran 12:56 and 4th American, our team this year is looking good

I'm a bit surprised how slow Steiner, Thomas, and Prandini were in their 100m races just now. Jet lag?
It was known this is not their prime event. I am pleasantly pleased that Luek got 2nd.
Bad pacing from the rabbits after 1000m. Very exciting last few laps.

Kincaids last lap was insane, off the back with 400 to go and almost runs down Luis!
Is it crazy to wonder why he can't just maintain contact if he's got enough in the tank to kick like that?
There is a good chance that Abdi Nur would have been in the mix for a sub 13 here too.

It’s the first week of June. Katir is in better shape right now but he was in June 2021 and could not convert that into an Olympics medal. I suspect Cheptegei, Jakob, Kiplimo, Krop and others will be challenging him in Budapest.
The guy that wrote that Krop, Barega, Cheptegei were the best kickers made me laugh all the day. He already made a bad prediction about Nuguse kick on Jakob.
Those bowerman guys look very tired. Even cooper who is running well seems to be lacking a little bit of pop towards the end. I’m not worried yet. Jerry has proven he knows what he’s doing. But they are lacking finishing speed alot right now.
