The pandemic and resultant global supply chain issues are the primary culprits in inflation. That's why inflation is a global problem.
Also, the invasion of Ukraine driving energy costs.
The invasion of Ukraine is partly to blame for driving energy costs, but energy costs were rising prior to that action in response the Biden's executive orders that have severely limited the oil and gas industry in this country. We are not all that reliant on Russian energy. A normal president would respond to that action by encouraging domestic production (we have the capacity to be pretty much energy independent, that is part of what makes us a superpower). Instead, Biden's response was to ban fracking, put a moratorium on drilling on federal lands, and make it harder to get permits by redefining the criteria necessary to get a permit. His one response was to release oil from the strategic reserve that would leave us more vulnerable in the event of full war breaking out. Don't kid yourself. Biden has been driving up energy costs as well.
Your mistake lies in thinking the US needed to "excuse" nuking the nation the launched a war with it. Easy to say when you wouldn't have been one of the kids being forced to storm the beaches into machine gun fire.
So it's okay America nuked millions of civilians, killing hundreds of thousands for the sin of being born in a particular nation?
Must be nice having the luxury of second guessing American leaders regarding real-time decisions they made 75+ years ago, when the deadliest war of all time had been raging for 6 years, 400,000 American troops had died, and Western civilization itself was at stake because of murderous thugs and tyrants with twisted ideologies.
Carmine is going to get a lifetime achievement award at the next Always-Blame-America-First convention.
Who is going to engage in this global conflict? A massively exposed and desperate Russia and...?? China's not about to jump in on this.
There is a heightened risk that Russia could drop a nuke Ukraine, but the Ukrainians appear to be content to live with this risk in order to defend their homeland and such an escalation would mean the end of Russia as we know it. It would achieve nothing. There is no risk of the Russians nuking the US. In fact, I highly doubt they could if they wanted to. Look at the outdated military equipment they're using. Look at the astounding disorganization of their ground forces. The supersonic missiles Putin was boasting about last year are not real.
