MileSplits official Frosh/Soph formatted results for the 2022 Hinsdale Central Boys vs Proviso West, Lyons Township, hosted by Hinsdale (Central) in Hinsdale IL.
hinsdale central freshman dominated this race. He is entered in the varsity race for this weekend with like 10 of his teammates
Appears to have put a lot more time between he and their second freshman since Hornet-Red Devil.
Question, why does this race say 5000 meters when the course is normally run over 3 miles?
Also another varsity non-result from York-Glenbard West. Looks like a pretty competitive FS race at the top however. Zangan of York who won the FS level at Palatine was beaten by two GW guys (one a frosh) and they had a few others close to him as well. At Palatine Zangan's time on the merge would've placed him 38th in the varsity race as York's #2.

Or maybe #3 if Bryk actually finished the race. But regardless, Zangan will definitely be racing varsity and likely scoring at sections and state. There’s another sophomore who will run varsity for them too. Just like the youngsters Alex Krieg and Carter Hayes from Palatine. They did lose 3 guys from palatine varsity guys from last year, but now there are like 10 people fighting for those varsity spots. Most of them being seniors. So they actually have better depth than last year. They have a good freshman coming in next year too.
Just went through past results and I saw that GW sophs beat DGN sophs at Eddington a couple weeks ago. They will likely be running 4 sophs and a frosh post regular season. DGN varsity also had a strong race putting all 7 within 58 seconds of Riley Newport.
Ok Should we just say “give the state title to Plainfield South now”?
or can you imagine any team beating them?
they pretty much have a solid 1-5 at this point. Doesn’t even surprise me that they’re nationally ranked
They're going to be ranked higher when they win Nike Twilight tomorrow
Gonna be an interesting matchup between them, Carmel and Jesuit LA.
Since Jesuit LA is there, it makes me wonder why Jesuit OR isn’t there.
Gonna be interesting to see if Hinsdale Central has found their 1-5 and if Center Grove is coming together. Brebeuf’s number 1 will be missing but their 4-5 will be racing

Jesuit will be missing their #1 guy (Vocke). But there are 5 or 6 guys on the team on the same level as him. At least it will give the other 4 nonseniors more varsity experience for next year as they will try to win nationals. The downage of Newbury Park next year will open the #1 spot in the nation for more teams. I think Carmel will beat Plainfield South. They have Kole mathiason unlike the other 2 teams. Their number 2 is a solid runner who was a transfer from MN. Their 1-5 are solid. Also, if Hinsdale Central has a solid 1-5 (watcke is healthy and they found a 5th), they might be pushing Plainfield south more than people think they will. Here are my picks 1. Jesuit 2. Carmel 3. Plainfield South
Dylon Nalley runs 14:03 at Peoria. He's a junior. That's one of the fastest times ever by a junior.
Could he get top 10 in the nation at NXN? can’t wait to see how Newbury Park does as a team and their individuals do when they open up at Clovis. They have a junior (dev doshi) who broke 15 in the 5K last year and is now wayy better. He could possibly be the one to get top 10 also. And there is also a senior transfer. Maybe 5 np guys in the top 10 at NXN? Would love to see it! Nothing like this will happen again
Watching this Nike meet and it's so weird. The girls race still had finishers coming in and they start the boys race and you see a whole mob of boys bearing down on the girls. But then they veer off of the finish alley so they don't actually mix in.
