Are you Schrödinger's cat?
Then the truth would totally stun you.
Just have fun with stuff guy, as we can see you are way too serious and not very good at this at all, boring would work.
That’s a different definition than your one that I poked holes in.
Wrong!
I look at Haiti as an island and I bet most people do. If somebody asked you.....where you going and you answered an island, Haiti........nobody is going to say anything. Do you really think anyone will.......well ya know actually there is Haiti and, blah blah blah......nay!
Trust me nobody but you thinks Morocco is an island.
So if Haiti is an island what is D.R?
I think most people are above really worrying about this kind of thing, calling Haiti and DR islands would work for most, who is so tiny to.......well actually ya know...
Ok bored with it moving on.
I always wanted to take a trip to the island of Australia.

I was there for a week doing Christian missionary work (put roofs on schools, painted schools) in villages. Drive thru villages and visited a church and orphanage. Locals joined in as volunteers on working on projects. The people are very deeply, intensely religious. Most are grateful for any assistance. Their work ethic is lacking, resulting in their poor economy. Never felt threatened while there, despite some questionable “fees” at the airport. Check out Double Harvest as an Ohio-led Christian based farm providing food and employment for locals just outside the capital. As for the “cities”, they are very dirty (open burning of trash in streets of the capital city) and expected as a 3rd world. Poor people, no real health care, lacking basic hygiene, etc. Don’t know that I’d go there without a group, but it’s eye-opening for sure. My wife’s been there 6x without me, but with missionary groups.

Well aware of all that actually but was only talking about this....
Henri Christophe (who used the anglicized version of Henry Christopher) (6 October 1767 – 8 October 1820) was a former slave and key leader in the Haitian Revolution, which succeeded in gaining independence from France in 1804. Christophe created a kingdom in the North and had himself proclaimed Henry I, King of Haïti.
Wasn't looking to cover any more history than that.
Haiti is on an island, pretty safe to say Haiti is an island.
Honolulu is on an island. Honolulu is not an island. A tree can be on an island and not be an island. You do know your sprint history, I will give you kudos. Hope you had a good secretary in your insurance business

Speaking of danger and if we are going on personal anecdotes and not statistics/the overall picture, Mexico appears to be one of the most dangerous countries for tourists.
I know/knew three people who went there with bad stories.
1. Ex was on a bus with a friend and they were travelling to a village. The bus was held up at gun point. The guys with guns knocked out the driver, unconscious. They forced one of the passengers to drive the bus and apparently it was near a cliff edge and he was reversing it. Everyone on the bus was crying and praying. Then they lined them up outside at gunpoint. And robbed them. Some kind of tribe in the jungle helped them afterwards, as half of them passed out. It sounds like some kind of set up to me i.e. a regular thing.
2. A friend I used to have in London went on an expensive guided tour to Mexico. The tour went to Tijuana. They had a stop off for 20 minutes and said to meet back at the coach. They went to a restaurant. She was standing there with her friend. She turned around and her friend had gone. She disappeared. The coach waited for a few hours, and then they left. She wasn't heard of again, she was gone. She is still missing :(. Friend begged the coach to stay longer and they basically said she is not coming back.
3. When I was at uni I was in halls and one of my flatmates had a sister who saved up and went on a trip to Mexico. She was gang raped on a bus there.
Obviously there are good parts of Mexico and places like aguascalientes look amazing. But similar to parts of Brasil, it's dangerous for tourists. I absolutely love the look of Mexico and places like Baja California and I would absolutely love to go, but as a tourist, it sounds like it can be dangerous and you need to be careful. It's just the frequency of these stories that bothers me. You don't hear of people going on holiday to the USA and this happening, for example. I know it DOES happen but I mean the frequency. Everyone I know who went to the USA simply had a good time and then left. And I know many people who have been to many different states - there isn't the same frequency of stories.
I would actually love to go to Haiti as well but I feel it is too dangerous.

Why do we see so much violence with black folks, be it Chicago, Detroit, NFL, Haiti, Nigeria, where ever we see a lot of black people here comes all that violence. Why?
OMG. Your post shows you are ignorant beyond belief.

Would like to read a book about the Caribbean and track.
Pitch that idea to Malcolm Gladwell, he's currently on a sprint history trip with his Legacy of Speed podcast that I'm almost sure will be his next book or part of his next book.
