Buy what you can in bulk at places like Costco.
Dont own a truck. I get 25-30 mpg in my hybrid that I payed a little over 5000 for which is so nice given the circumstances.
Depending on your age, shopping on Depop and similar apps/sites is a good way to get quality clothes for cheap. I shop for the streetwear look that is only really considered fashionable for 16-30 year olds though.
Pasta is cheap, little caesars/dominos is cheap. If you want to run 70 mpw on a budget this is the way.
Driving a car that was a) not expensive to buy and b) is not expensive to drive will save you a TON of money in your life. First car I owned was purchased for $3000 (in 2004). Drove it for 10 years before it finally pretty much started falling apart. Second car I bought slightly used (20,000 miles) for a price marked down about $7000 from the same brand new version. I used to drive a ton for work and was compensated for my mileage at a pretty high rate considering my car gets 40mpg highway. I now have 234,000 on it, and it's still running just fine. A truck or even small SUV would have cost me about an extra 40,000 over that time period when you consider gas, tires, oil, up front cost off the lot, etc. That's a lot of money.
PB sandwich with an apple makes for a great lunch and costs less than $3. Do stuff like this in place of ordering out and you'll save literally thousands of dollars per year.
Having a roommate helps a lot. Always had one up until I was about 33 and saved around $50,000 that way over what I would have spent had I lived alone all that time post-college. That's a big difference.
