Katelyn's natural speed truly isn't developed yet, I also cannot comprehend how everyone in this site always talks about 5000m when obviously the Mile national record was the more impressive record that she owns. The 5000m has been broken so many times, yet the Mile record stood for 36 years until Katelyn broke it and 4 years later, its still standing despite countless talented girls going for it.
her 4:06 shows that she has phenomenal natural raw speed in her that is yet to be developed in the collegiate level - watch her 4:06 race again, and it was effortless and looked to easy for her.
you look at the top lists in the NCAA for the 1500m and she ranks 7th best of all-time yet she's classified as a 5000m runner
people always say, her progression isnt like the others in the 5000, but she only raced once 5k as a 15 year old then never ran a 5k ever again until she went to college...... but always turns a blind eye and never looks at her 1500m progression, which is the only race she has always raced since middleschool-high school - college ... 4:24 - 4:14 - 4:06
