#17 Why has letsrun who has been a very strong anti doping activist in the sport been so quick to defend Shelby here, in what seems at best to be a sloppy defense. This and the repeated defenses of Paula who most people in the sport think was pretty clearly doping really call into question your true commitment to anti-doping or whether you are just being opportunistic when calling out the doper won't cause issues for you.
I have yet to see any credible expert provide any analysis into this that would lead any reasonable person to think this was really a case of contamination. The most damning to me is that this test happened during the USADA testing blackout which would indicate athletes thought they were extremely unlikely to be tested.
The defense by Jerry he had never heard of the drug is total BS. I have only been tested a couple of times in my career and was never good enough to be in the pool and I've heard of the drug. The reason people have not heard of it is that they are not calling it DECA which is the common name for the drug. They are intentionally using the drug name which it is less commonly known by because if they said it was DECA everyone would know this is a common doping drug and this whole meat contamination BS would be blown up as absurd on its face.
