Fred Ever looked a peregrine falcon in the eye. Ever heard a sasquatch the birds stop singing. Yes I have seen cougars, grizzlies and wolverines. Everywhere you go there you are .

I've looked a Peregrine in the eye, and sprinted past a momma Black Bear with 2 cubs.
The birds stop singing when a Coopers Hawk comes in for breakfast.

Uh....
She voluntarily engaged in a sexual relationship with a man she knew to be married, and did so willingly. Had her emails back to him been full of protestations and denials of her affections then I'm quite certain that these would have been heavily featured in the Globe and Mail article. She continued to pursue her (married) coach for several years as a fully legal adult. The choice WAS hers to make...and she made it.
Sorry -- still not on the same page. Maybe you can, but I cannot ignore the huge power imbalance between a 17-year old high school student athlete and her 38-year old coach. This makes it not voluntary, and she had little choice because there was a lot more at stake -- her future as an athlete. That's why the responsibility is 100% on the coach and 0% on the under-age student-athlete to avoid such coupling in the first place.

Agreed!
Good thing that this disgusting cheat and abuser is finally out of the picture too, no matter how much the Speed River fans try to play the victim blame game and the nothing-to-see-here nonsense. Give it up guys, he won't be coming back.
Fortunately there are only a few of those, compared to the tons of NOP fans and Nike PR guys.
rekkie was a 3:34 guy and 3:55 miler.
Milne 3:54 miler gone too? Why?
Thanks for getting this thread back on track.

The whole DST and U Of Guelph incident has really thrown the sport of track and field into a turmoil here in Canada. It was really off the radar for most of the running community . I saw and last talked with him at Olympic trials in 2016 and met his crew from Speed River. Everything seemed fine but I guess nothing is perfect. The firing of Steve Boyd should have never happened
he's a very good coach. I think the best solution is to have a closer look at the USports coaching system and a review of AC to adress these issues. What a mess right now. Fortunately there a lot of good people/coaches here . Hopefully we won't see thise happen again.
Excellent sentiment....unfortunately, this type of behaviour is likely happening right now somewhere.

He retired and moved on.

And you said you were out of this thread.
The first time I met Dave was when Gillis and Coolsaet were running a tempo workout on Townline and I video taped it.
Dave pulled up beside me, and I said something like that isn't tempo.
He got pissed and put the pedal to the metal.

Why don't you spend your energy getting Steve his job back.
Too busy looking over my shoulder for icky freddie lurking in the bushes around guelph's running trails with his high powered lens. that's ok, lots of runners in town institute the buddy rule when hitting the trails with bushes. Careful people, you can't see him, but icky freddie can sure see you....and he's got the photos to prove it. eewwww.
You are a juvenile dikhead.
don't start something you can't finish icky.....i can do this all day.
Fred’s a voyeur? Yeah, I think that’s definitely part of his psychological profile. Good call.
Dane's the only guy in Kingston that has to sandpaper the callouses of his lips every week.
Does not wanting my kids to watch a bisexual threesome at the Olympics make me a bigot?
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
