So predictable ... they do nothing for 3 months and re-commence the hearings right before the mid-terms.
At least the DOJ has the decency to abide by the unofficial 90-day window to avoid influencing an election (we have to remember that in the legal system there is a presumption of innocence, and it is up to prosecutors to prove someone guilty). The partisan clowns in congress have no such reservations and only seek to hold onto power. As others have noted, individuals putting on this kangaroo court have already expressed their pre-determined conclusion.
Obviously, the 90-day window does not apply to members of Congress and this is a hearing, not a trial. They are politicians, of course they are trying to influence the outcome of an election. That's like saying a member of Congress should not endorse or campaign for a another candidate in the 90-day window.

They are a quasi-legal entity with subpoena powers.

Endorsing or campaigning for another is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from serving on a supposedly non-partisan committee tasked with determining whether a former president of the United States engaged in an attempted overthrow of the government/country.

So which is it? This is a non-partisan committee or it is a bunch of political hacks?
This is a great opportunity for the former president to explain everything, lay out the evidence, show how this has all been a 'witch hunt.' As the say, if you're innocent you have nothing to hide.
Donald Trump knew he lost. All his people know he lost. GOP lawmakers know there was no election fraud. The only people stupid and gullible to believe that he did not lose are to found on message boards like this one and at Red Cap rallies.
testimony at Jan 6 hearing yesterday: After Supreme Court rejected Trump's case, he was raging "why didn't we make more calls". More calls to the SC justices? To Ginni Thomas?
"I don't want people to know we lost." Yes Trump KNEW that he lost, and all the LIES he told to his supporters were part of his efforts to STEAL the election.
Former President Donald Trump "personally orchestrated" efforts to reverse his loss to President Joe Biden, leaders of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot probe said.
The House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol announced on Friday that the panel has officially sent a subpoena to former President Donald Trump as it paints him as the central figure...
Supreme Court will decide whether Trumper Repub Kelli Ward has to give up her cell phone record for the time relating to Jan 6. Kelli Ward was part of the criminal scheme for AZ to submit 'alternative electors'. When questioned under oath, Ward plead the Fifth, declining to in-crime-inate herself. So far, courts have all agreed that her phone records and texts relate to CRIME and that the subpoena is legit.
In an email sent Dec. 31, 2020, one lawyer argued that the Supreme Court justice would “end up being key" to asking the high court to overturn then-President-elect Joe Biden’s win in contested states.
A new Homeland Security report details orders to connect protesters arrested in Portland to one another in service of the Trump's imaginary antifa plot.

and... the Supreme Court rejected her appeal. Except that Thomas (and Alito) wanted to keep her cell phone records private. We will soon find out if Kelli Ward had calls with Ginni the Insurrectionist Thomas. Clarence your unsuitability is showing.
The Supreme Court cleared the way on Monday for the House select committee investigating the January 6 US Capitol attack to obtain the phone and text records of Arizona Republican Party Chair Kelli Ward.
This article contains some interesting words from ViP Mike Pence. Is Pence lying or exaggerating? Or does he have reason to say that Trump's words were endangering Pence and his family?
It's pretty damning against Trump if his own ViP thinks of Trump this way. This is difficult for Trump fans to explain as well. Bashing Pence as a RINO or establishment swamper or whatever is not an explanation.
In first network interview since the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, Pence delivers some of his harshest criticisms of Trump's statements on the day of the riot, saying it was clear the former president "decided to be part of t...

It's funny how Pence waited until he saw how the mid-terms were going to shake out before coming out with this. If there was a red wave and Trump backed candidates were elected, I'm sure we'd hear nothing from Pence on Trump's recklessness. Pence shares responsibility for empowering, legitimizing, and supporting Trump all those years and that should never be forgotten.
Loser of 2020 election calls for termination of all rules and regulations and the US Constitution because he claims there was election fraud? Donny is warming up for trying to incite violence when he is indicted and convicted.
