The government case does not need big guns, just the facts.
He took many boxes of classified documents, stored them in unsecured locations, bragged about it, showed them to people without clearance, lied to the FBI / Archives, lawyers about having them, refused to give them back, tried to hide them with help of his staff (who are now singing to avoid jail). The FBI found them. Trump has no defense here other than "WITCH HUNT!!!" and delay tactics.
He may not go to jail, but he will lose this case. He will likely lose the soon to come cases for election tampering also.
He has a long history of fraud and lies - Trump U. fraud, Trump Org. tax fraud, not paying contractors. He paid off a porn star to not talk about an affair (campaign money fraud), had meetings with Russians to get dirt on rivals, tried to extort Ukraine to get dirt on rivals, tried to change election results and appoint false electors, incited a mob to attack the Capital and more. Just the facts.
I was referring to the Fake Electors case for the "guns loaded" comment. We are switching back between the two Indictments in this thread, so it gets confusing.
But yeah, I agree, the Stolen Documents case is much simpler in comparison, and doesn't require much more evidence than a few of Trump's own statements and actions to get a conviction. The DOJ's B team will be handling that case.
