Wait, didn't he say those protesters were antifas? Yeah, they respect law enforcement so much they assaulted police officers and even killed one of them. And why have there been 300+ arrests if they would never do anything to break the law?

Trump winning in 2016 has given the false impression that anyone that is reasonably well known can win an election. That might true for running for the House but not the Senate. She has zero applicable experience.

sorta...political machines are effective, that's why they work. A machine can put forward candidates and get them elected virtually regardless of the candidate. It happens all the time.
But the entire Trump/GOP apparatus would have to get behind her, and there would have to be no meaningful primary.
And I think that's highly possible...the Trumpist machinery is all in place and the 'regular' Rs are terrified of crossing it.

At least for running for POTUS, the only outsiders to gain any traction were Perot and Trump. Although it wasn't actually the case for Trump, they were extremely successful businessmen. Lara married a Trump.

The comedian (Franken) from MN? The football coach (Tubberville) from AL? The actor from TN?

You forgot Pres Ronald. And Gov Arnold and Gov Jesse.
Trump was an "extremely successful business man"?!? The guy bankrupted a Casino !!!
From the recent pictures out of Mar-a-Lago, Trump looks in pretty rough shape. Is that a bruise on his face? He's known to have balance problems. Health wise I don't think 2024 is even going to be a possibility for him.
Also looks like he's growing a pair of man boobs. I don't think this is going to end well.

He looks real bad. I think its partly about his losing, but its mostly knowing that he is in real trouble with his pending legal problems. His out of jail free card of being president is no longer.
He left the republican party in shambles. His base is so dedicated to him, the party is stuck to trump. Its funny when any Republican trump supporter, like Rubin, tries expressing moral outrage at something a Democrat does. It is now just so transparently hypocritical. Its makes them look foolish.
Are Trump supporters tired of all the winning yet?
It's nice to see that Trump is still wearing his "Make America White Again" hat every golf day.
