Conviction of Trump is logically and ethically the only option. Republicans who don't convict are cowards. The logic is irrefutable.
The big defense for Trump is that he never told his people to attack the capital. But did he communicate to his followers that he wanted them to attack the capital?
I have a series of questions for those who think he shouldn't be convicted.
Did he convince his followers that democracy was being stolen from them and that they would need to fight to save their country? Did he enrage his followers about democracy being stolen? (You will say yes but he didn't say to attack the capital).
Was Trump obsessed with doing anything he could to over turn that election?
Did he organize the demonstration to occur on 1/6? Did he change the original date so it would be on 1/6. (You will say yes but he didn't tell them to attack the capital) You will say during his speech he said peacefully. But that said that once in the midst of over whelming instruction about fighting.
When Trump told them to march to the capital to stop the steal, in what other way at that point, could the mob have stopped the steal. There was no other way to stop count other than what the mob did. Everyone there knew that was the only way to stop the count.
Did the mob think that Trump communicated to them that they needed to attack the capital? Quite clearly they did.
Did Trump's behavior during the attack in any way suggest that he was against the attack and wanted it stopped? It was quite clear he wanted that attack because he would do nothing to interfere or stop that attack.
He communicated that he wanted the attack, the attackers understand that, and all of his behavior during the attack was consistent with his desire for the attack.
GUILTY! Republicans who don't vote this way are cowards and afraid of trump and his followers.
