Hey neo-liberals, how's that trial going for ya? BWWWAHHHHHH HAHAHAHAAHA!
Today's neo-liberals, amply represented here on the Letsrun Trump Rocks thread. Were you guys this neo-liberalish before 2020? Did Trump do this to you? You shouldn't let anyone warp your world view like He has. Can you say "losers"? Say it. Say "we are looooooooosers." You don't have to type it, just say it to yourself.
This trial was over before it started. Liberals always lose at trial, because they can't synthesize and process factual information like a person with high level IQ. Liberals see everything through a hysterical, socialist, quasi-religious lens of their own hypocritical ineptitude. That's been proven. I can prove that in three steps. Prove it as a factual matter with 3 bullet points on an outline.

O.J.'s trial was also over before it was started. Like Trump, he really was innocent.
If you can watch these two videos and still say Trump should not be convicted, then you are an empty and soulless person.
The presentation by trump's team was nothing short of horrendous and totally lacking in substance. Not only is trump's position impossible to actually defend, these guys are pretty much going through the motions since they know acquittal is inevitable. Dems did a great job opening up today. The only thing I could say is trumpers are not americans.

Well, it is not as if you have not been told.

If the Congress disruptors plan for 2 weeks to storm the Capitol, and on the 14th day DO storm the Capitol, it is absurd to suggest that someone incited them. Just absurd. Think a little bit, Fat Hurts.
You raise some interesting points there, Spaztec. And I commend you for analogizing Simpson to Trump. Few of your neo-liberal kin here would have the mettle to do so.
But there are some nuanced differences between the two situations, that I hope you can appreciate.
Simpson was a black man falsely accused because of his race. It took a jury of his peers to correct the injustice. Trump is a white man falsely accused because of his beliefs in America. It will be a jury of reasonable senators that acquit him.
Simpson was charged with affirmative acts of violence. Trump's charges are more in the nature of thought crimes/speech crimes.
Riots are the language of the unheard. Simpson was not accused of rioting or even promoting the idea. But he could have rioted under the Unheard Language Riot doctrine popular in current American jurisprudence. That defense is not available to Trump, for various reasons.
But you are right, Aztec. As Keith Richards once so famously said at the hills of Altamont, "I'm gonna walk before they make me run."
Sally you little cretin. I hope you understand trump isn’t going to be magically made president. Shed them tears trump lover, shed them tears.

The indictment against Nicholas Ochs, 34, of Honolulu, and Nicholas DeCarlo, 30, of Burleson, Texas, said the two men agreed before Jan. 6 to travel to Washington to “stop, delay and hinder” the certification of President Joe Biden’s election victory, the Justice Department said. The riot led to five deaths, including a Capitol Police officer.

Robert Bauer told FBI Agents in an interview that he "marched to the U.S. Capitol because President Trump said to do so,"

"He heard the words of the president. He believed them. He genuinely believed him," Jacob Chansley's lawyer, Al Watkins, told ABC News in an interview. "He thought the president was walking with him."

"The nature and circumstances of this offense must be viewed through the lens of an event inspired by the President of the United States," said Jackson's lawyer of his client's alleged attack on an officer.

Man, you liberals' arms must hurt from reaching so far. Trump telling the protesters to march to the capitol is not incitement of anything illegal. This is all just the lawyers of the rioters trying to make up phony excuses to try and blame Trump for something their clients did. And liberals cant see this for the weak legal defense that it is and not the actual truth.

Its not simply what he said in his speech just before the attack its all the lies he told before and how he reacted during the attack that makes him GUILTY. Trump knows how to communicate with his people based on the thousands who come to listen to him. He knows how his people would react. The "I had no idea they would act that way" doesn't really fly.
Trump would do anything to over turn this election and hold on to power. I think everyone knows that.
Come on dude. That is not me. You thought Marietta was me. You were wrong on that. I am only 2 people here.
His defenders are using this statement from his rally speech to vindicate him:
"This is a patriotic and peaceful protest."
If that was he intent he would have been appalled when he saw people storming the Capitol. Like any other POTUS would done, he would have immediately communicated to them that they were to leave the building and those that stayed would be subject to arrest. No other message from a POTUS is acceptable when the U.S. Capitol is under attack. Trump didn't quite do that.
Trump even told them to March to the Capitol peacefully and patriotically. You guys are nuts!
If telling the protesters to march to the Capitol was all said, he wouldn't be on trial right now.

Correct!!! To borrow from Flagpole. He did not just tell the protestors to March to the Capitol...He told them to march to the Capitol ... Peacefully and patriotically
Yeah, it was a little bit more than "let's all take a stroll to the Capitol".
In the minute between 12:15 and 12:16 p.m., Trump told the crowd to head to the Capitol and that “you’ll never take back our country with weakness.” One minute later, a Parler user wrote: “Time to fight. Civil war is upon us.” Another wrote: “We are going to have a civil war. Get ready!!”
----------------------------------
"We’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong."
---------------------------------
"We won the Presidential Election, by a lot. FIGHT FOR IT. Don’t let them take it away!"
---------------------------------
"WE HAVE JUST BEGUN TO FIGHT!!!" Trump said in another tweet.
---------------------------------
Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election. Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!"
---------------------------------
"The ‘Justice’ Department and the FBI have done nothing about the 2020 Presidential Election Voter Fraud, the biggest SCAM in our nation’s history, despite overwhelming evidence. They should be ashamed. History will remember. Never give up. See everyone in D.C. on January 6th."
---------------------------------
"If the liberal Democrats take the Senate and the White House — and they’re not taking this White House — we’re going to fight like hell, I’ll tell you right now," Trump said.
---------------------------------
There's a lot more, but if you want you can read about it in the link below. Apparently, Trump used the word 'fight' 16 times in his Capitol speech on 1/6. So this was a lot more than just telling his supporters to walk down to the Capitol.
https://www.politifact.com/article/2021/jan/11/timeline-what-trump-said-jan-6-capitol-riot/
Barring something pretty weird happening, Trump's going to get acquitted. But he's going to be made to look bad during this trial.
"I'm too dumb to incite a riot" may be Trump's best defense.
“It is certainly appropriate to assess the entirety of facts for a possible incitement charge, but the rubber meeting the road will be whether the president’s incoherent rants can be sufficiently parsed in a way that takes it beyond constitutionally protected speech,” he told Law&Crime. “In this situation, the president’s inability to formulate a sentence properly may be what saves him.”
