Well, clearly between having their own brand of trumpism and outright supporting him they seem to be going with the latter. Few refuse to acknowledge he lost a fair fight. They still see him as a useful idiot so IMO they can’t divorce themselves openly from the guy if they want to purchase the base, ever.
For Trump to remain powerful in politics, he needs to have the ability to influence election results. According to this article, he didn't have that much influence even when he was POTUS and had Twitter access:

Even if he could have some effect, it would be a far cry from being POTUS. I believe he would rather play golf than attend meetings where people would ask him to endorse people he's never even heard of.
