Was seeing chatter about certain red states seceding. I know it comes up every now and then, but I wouldn't put it past once of those trump sycophant infested states to actually try it. They have given into and indulged those delusional voters so much that I think it's actually possible one of them is pushed to try it.
Would any of us actually be upset if one of those red states was successful in seceding? Wouldn't mind there being a place for the idiots who continue to fly their Trump flags. "You don't like America? Pack you bleep and take it to Alabama." Plus, there would be 2 less red seats in the senate. Good, no?
But in all seriousness, what would that look like? What would the long term effects be? Would there need to be a wall built around the states who secede? You know, to prevent illegals from entering?
Wanting a state to secede in favor of a more universal solution is, in my opinion, unpatriotic.
A lot of people have been the target of one of the biggest misinformation campaigns ever as countries like Russia and China continue to stoke flames. Sometimes it's the obvious Facebook boomer bait. Sometimes though it's more subtle and comes in the form of what's called "pink slime news."
We also need a path toward mitigating wealth inequality which is reaching a 50 year high. There's definitely some hurdles, but I'm optimistic
