That is what the role would likely at some point have required. I doubt that actors are required by industry standards to seek further assurances relating to the safety of the gun being used once they have begun to act their role - and they had already been handed the gun with the assurance it was unloaded. Perhaps you could point to an industry guideline that requires the actor to make a further request for a gun check once they begin to perform their role?
