Moneghetti stated don’t leave and get coffee because the race is going to get going here.
Then we don’t see the race for 4 miles. WTF???
Luckily Zane is in the shoes that really don’t need laces, but annoying for sure.
Go Yuta.
As they say ‘he’s bloody tough’.
why do people not tripple tie their shoes in a race?
is this really coming down to 5% shoe vs 4% ? ha
Yuta is looking relaxed.
About to hit the home straight. Will zane get the Oceania record?
Lagat 15:47 for 35-40k---on 2:12:16 pace now.
2:08:2X
Yuta Shitara FTW in 2:08:0. And Zane misses the record by 30 seconds or so. Does he get the kiwi record though?
Yatori, the pacer gets 4th!
2:07:50 for Shitara...the clock was messed up.
2:08:26 for Jake. So Zane’s the faster twin!!
Great race- Shitara has an effortless stride but his nipples paid the price- that shower is going to be painful

Has to affect him. The few times its happened to me in a race, it was a big deal.
Stop using a granny knot.
https://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/grannyknot.htmLagat in 2:12:10. Good result!
2:12:10 for 7th, Lagat came closer to an auto standard than I would have ever thought. Just 40 seconds or 2 places away.
How did Kip finish?

Was that his first marathon?
Lagat 2:12:10 (1:06:26/1:05:44) for 7th overall
2:12:10 for Lagat. Great day and 5 minute PR for him to finish 7th! That would have easily been worth more than 40 seconds faster in Berlin.
Let's hope he takes a brief recovery and heads to Berlin in a few months to knock out the qualifier, then preps for the trials.
Dayum, if that pacer drops, Lagat is just one place from qualifying! Great effort.
