Anyone besides me thinks it's kind of weird that the EUropeans are all into the European championships when they are trying to erase their own countries identities with on big European country.
I mean GBR is getting so much crap for Brexit. In my mind, why not just get rid of all countries if you are going to give them crap?
How does the EU erase national identities? Even if it went as far as the USA, what would that mean for culture? Don't the states have their own identities still?

rojo, we are not to get rid of our countries' identities at all. We are trying to constitutionalize a European identity that has been around for hundreds of years on top of our countries' identities.
Most people in Europe identify as Europeans AND as a citizen of their home country. Those things are not exclusive.
It's very similar to Laura Muir being a Brit, but also a Scot, just on a higher level.
There will be conflicts and discussions, a lot of stuff that sucks, and a lot of stuff that works great.
So as a member of the EU, are you not consenting to regulation and administration by an unelected government with no elected representation? It certainly seems undemocratic at it's basis.

Ha ha sorry but that is absolute bollocks of the highest order!

are you claiming that an American cannot be proud of his home state and be proud to be an American, and that those two are actually exclusive?
well, believe it or not, other folk can think like that.
cheers.
Absolute bollocks response given that you had to remove the text that I was clearly replying about Europe to even make it. So utterly pointless and utterly bollocks.
