Got ahold of Deseret news. Trying the Tribune now and having trouble getting through. Man I hope I'm not doing something that Coach Timo doesn't want? Maybe I should just shut up.

Got through. They said they already have it.
You should learn how to use the internet though:
carpo!!
RE: So Sick: Casey Clinger just ran 8:54 at 4,500 feet of altitude!! Crushed field and won by 25+ seconds. 4/4/2017 1:54AM - in reply to OverTheHillAndBack

Great Oak Coach Doug Soles:
“The math says they have a great chance,†Soles notes, “and with an anchor that can split a 4-flat if needed, I have no doubt they can give it a great go. I’ll be cheering for them! Records are made to be broken, and if they break it we’ll go back to the drawing board and chase the new record with our next few teams.â€

Don't care in the least about learning the internet. Tough guys on here remind me when we were 6 yrs old. We would dial a random number and some man would answer. We would call him goofy names and hang up. Its the same here, with tough guys hiding behind their laptop and throwing out tough guy name calling. Ya try it face to face, and the guy would make you his girlfriend. I am gone now. Last post on letsrun.
Behind the trio of Casey Clinger (4:05), McKay Johns (4:10) and Patrick Parker (1:50/4:06), they will have Clinger's younger brother who just ran 2:03 for the 800m and earlier in the season completed a 4:30/2:08 double. Seems like they will have their hands full with this record if Carson Clinger doesn't run a big PR, which is possible but unlikely.
4:30 in the cold mountaintops with a stiff breeze is worth something around 4:15 in Cali. Shout out to all my Cali bros!!!
Guess coming down from altitude didn't hurt.
Mostert had them ready to roll.
4:05 average for the last 3 legs. Ridiculous.
And young Clinger came through with a nice PR for leg 1.

Hilarious! Not in your lifetime!
Hmm 4:08 last week at 4600 altitude. Week later 4:02 at Arcadia, through bad hand off, scores of runners pushing him out to lane 3, again and again.
RECORD SHATTERED 16:41
Ugly ass uniforms though, Come on Utah, get some gear.
Ahem. Called it.
Spot on, NRW.
Truth is they would have smashed it last year. Their forth man, Joe Simmons was in the teens for the 3200 and the 1600. Like a 9:18 3200 I recall.

Yes, but they didn't!

Never ran it that I know of.
Looks like you don't know it all, they ran 17:01 last year.
Looks like last 3 guys from AF in solo efforts dropped 3-6 seconds off their 1600 times and 4 seconds on average.
Leg 1 - ? - 4:26
Leg 2 - McKay - 4:11 (UVU & Simplot) to 4:08
Leg 3 - Parker - 4:09 (Simplot) to 4:06
Leg 4 - Clinger - 4:08 (UVU & UHSTCA) to 4:02
Well I guess that's one way to look at it. A better way might be to say they 2 guys racing who are pushed in races only knocked off 3 seconds, and the guy who wins everything and is never pushed knocked off 6. That supports what everyone's been saying about altitude trained guys not hitting the NCAA conversions.
