Jordan Hasay killed it! I was expecting 72-73 in tough conditions. Glad to see her do well.

Korir is American to make more money. No, he won't be deployed, these guys don't care about the US or the Army, they only got citizenship to gain more money and they use the Army to become a citizen much faster.
You obviously know nothing about the world, Ethiopia, or this family's situation.
First of all, few regimes target women and children. It is the vocal dissenter who brings the police raids, the kids being kicked out of school, the family farm being repossessed. It has been almost six months and his family support him, get it? Probably because they are safer WITHOUT HIM THERE and furthermore he is making more money on the US roads than he would training away in Ethiopia (probably not allowed to leave the country again if he comes back, even if he isn't imprisoned). Yes, I've actually been there, while you clearly haven't left west Texas.
As for Korir, yes, he is more of an American than you. He could be deployed, and actually did something to become a citizen. You were just born in the U.S. and proceeded to waste space here.
Lol. Do we really have to believe that the "regime" in Ethiopia is that bad, if he abandons his entire family there? Why wouldn't they target the family of dissenters if they really are so bad?
Just be honest: he fakes being a refugee so he can live a comfortable live in the States.
And that X symbol is like doing a nazi salute, it shows support for a terrorist organisation:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oromo_Liberation_FrontKorir should neve be allowed to run for the USA. He seems like a nice dude, but he is Kenyan. This is just the same as Qatar or Turkey recruiting Kenyans.
So did I!
To be honest, I thought she was done already in 2015.

Fixed that for you
Why has no one mentioned Kiya Dandena yet? Second American, beating the likes of Luke Puskedra, Parker Stinson, etc. The guy went to Texas A&M - Kingsville (DII), so he's enjoyed no fanfare.
Solid time for the conditions as well - 63:13!
Was the plantar fasciitis just an excuse so he wouldn't have to run in slow conditions?

Cause he is Ethiopian?
According to the RRIC "Big Beige Book" of USATF Best Road Running Performances, Joanie's first Half was on 3/7/1981 in Exeter NH (age 23). She ran a 1:11.

Thanks, we updated the article.

I actually thought of that myself, if hisonly goal was to break the American record and he saw conditions weren't gonna allow that he might have just decided to keep training rather than run a hard race and have to spend some time recovering.

That's idiotic. Rupp likes to run in warm weather far more than cool weather and if they were concerned about weather Hasay wouldn't have run.
Somif he was only trying to break the American record, you're saying he still could have in those conditions?

Lilesa ran almost 2 minutes faster at Houston (59:22) in better conditions. Puskreda too - about 1:01:00. I am very surprised Hasay ran so fast in those conditions. Take a minute off her time for the poor conditions and she is close to the AR in her debut half marathon.
